In the move (and node) context toolbar there is an option "cycle selection box" to switch bounding box, it is temporary till you change selection

you can use the ellipse shape for this, place the on your image and move in position, select>selection from layer and delete, copy this and file new from clipboard or invert the selection ctrl shift i and delete the selected area.

Why are you using symbols for this? It would be better to save the items as assets, drag a item on your workspace and then create a symbol from this.

the ellipse was subtracted, only the fill mode has changed.

I would use publisher for this

it was no riddle, the glass style is just no longer there.

In the new version the styles have been updated, the glass style in no longer a default style.

Sounds like you want artboards, they are not a option in photo. This is a designer feature.

For the foo text i used a boolaen add. The rectangles i pasted inside foo ctrl>alt>V and yes you can resize afterwards.

you can create the same without the use of masks. example attached. Test Foo2.afdesign

Thats what i did and now subtract won't work on the right side

But what happens if you delete the white rectangle first

But when i remove rectangle a and make rectangle b little wider and do a subtract it won't subtract, so there is something wrong in the file.

When i select a and b and subtract it becomes 1 curves object.

can't figure this out, something is wrong but i don't no what.
