You are welcome! In a couple of words... JPEG or JPG is a compressed file format and when You convert a file from a RAW you loss some information and quality -based on the output quality you have choose- is a standard and "light file" format, suitable for many purposes. If you need a professional prints or you need a maximum digital quality without any loss of quality/informations, better choose TIFF format, "heavy file", For example for offset print and quality photo. Anyway if U shot in RAW You can always choose all formats you want and when You want, Your RAW file always keep all your shot info. Possible reasons: -Your camera is not supported/fully implemented -The engine of the two software are different and so you got different color rendering - Chek if you image is 32 bit HDR or rgb 16Bit in "develop assistant" and no automatic filter are applied (like tonal curve) - You have set two different color profiles for DPP4 and AP. Develop persona, It's mostly a simple RAW converter/developer and photo editing module, that offer a workflow like “ad0b.”Camera RAW, just one RAW file to manage exposure, shadows an so on, and then finish the job on PS. In Affinity Photo is pretty the same! Open your RAW for a general/first adjustments/development, then click Develop to finish your job in Photo Persona! Unfortunately, Affinity Photo Develop also has some management issues with histograms... in many cases are completely "moved to left." So my personal tips is: develop your Raw file in DPP4 because is better optimized and surely fully support your camera, and then move directly to Affinity photo Persona, It's really powerful, for further adjustments and manipulations. . Hope I have not forgotten anything else to help you, and hope someone else will help you further more. Cheers.

Hello, I love Affinity photo and Design, and I greatly appreciate 1.6 update. Unfortunately I have not found yet a valid solution to improve fonts readability of the Affinity Photo and AD menu. I use a benQ GW2765 2560x1440p, calibrated with SpyderPro. The new Light interface is surely a good new, but the fonts readability is still not optimal. The fonts, in some windows, are small and slightly blurred and the Gamma UI range is, IMHO, also too shine, or ...white. In the Dark UI instead, the gamma UI level is still too dark. It would be good to have more additionals Gamma levels for both UI and a solution for improve the font quality, will be really appreciated. To improve the fonts readability in Windows 10 and (Affinity AP/AD) now I am using the software "Advanced System Font Change" but the result is still not optimal. Best Regards.

I used PS for around 20 years, so I fully understand the situation you describe, shortcuts are of fundamental importance, and their proper deployment greatly boost workflow! Press 0 (zero) twice quickly for 0% opacity of selected layers. Press 0 one time for 100% opacity. I Use this trick as shortcut for hide/show layers. Work great for me In AD and AP. Hope it help. Cheers!

Hi sima, and thx for reply. I tried default combination in Affinity Photo for Italian Qwerty Keyboards Ctrl + Alt + [ But unfortunately didn't work. Same for the Huion Express keys/pen buttons did not work with the Affinity defaults shortcuts. I suppose huion driver/software is made just for English keyboard Layout or is not optimized for some languages.... IMHO. like I said in previous post, I solve by changing all shortcut [ ] with + and - from Numpad and then saved an Affinity preference file for future installations. Anyway, this graphics tablet work great and has a great value for money (74,00 €) although the driver/software is not the best. Thx all again for the tips!

Yes, latest driver from Huion.com "HUION_1060plus_V12.3.7" I tried all possible combination between Ctrl alt shift. and [ ...with no result. Yes, Alt Gr + [ is the default combination. Also work with Ctrl ALt + [ Now I have found only one way to set up a key for brush/tool size ...I set each brush tool, sponge and so on, one by one, with new shortcut ...just + and - on Numpad! See screenshot. Maybe, Like Sima said, there is no way to change all the brushes/tool size at the same time in Affinity Photo.... or Affinity Design. So I set all like showed in screenshot and everithing work fine! Now I can easily change brush/tool size with express key k11 and k12 on Tablet and by the two pen buttons! ;) ThanK you all for sharing. Really appreciate.

Thx for reply. I correctly install latest Huion driver before connecting the tablet. I already assign the keyboard shortcuts to the tablet Express Keys, same for left-right click on the pen buttons and all key I set (from K1 to K10) work correctly, except for brushes and tools size set on K11 and K12. Same for pen buttons, ...tools and brush size do not work. I also tried all option btw "Ctrl, Alt, Shift" and [ (see S.S.)

Hi, I bought the Huion 1060 plus, and it seems to work well with A.D. and A.P. on Windows 10. The pressure control work fine and I correctly set some Hotkeys, but i did not find a way to change the size of the brushes and tools, in A.D. and A.P., directly from the pen. I use keyboard shortcut (Italian Qwerty Keyboard) AltGr [ and Alt Gr ] to change the brush and other tools size and it work fine, but is not really comfortable. Somebody know how to do? Thanks.

Hi, I'm thinking of buy the "Huion pro 1060 pro/plus" ...Low price and lots of good comments about it! I would like some info from who already use this draw tab. First of all if it is fully compatible with AD and AP? I heard about some driver issues on win 10. Someone could tell me more about this? Any other tips, or info will be really appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Unfortunately with Win10 creator update It's not more possible change the menu text size, also for Affinity Photo and Affinity Design menu. The only way I know, is to set monitor at more than 100%, for a better vision of O.s. icons and Affinity menù text, i.e. in 2560x1440 monitors, or more. So hope a solution comes as soon as possible. Meantime, to change text size only, in Win10 os and Affinity apps menu I know, only two ways: -Edit Win regedit file, -or using a tweaker App like Winaero or System size Font Changer. ...Unfortunately in some cases these app do not always work. Hi, I do not know if it's a bug or anything, but there is something strange with the icons of the saved file. I exported the file on desktop and icons were identical for both file, the JPG file and the Affinity file (with levels). Then I moved files into my documents folder and moved back on the dektop and Now the icon of the Affinity file appeared bottom right corner. See screenshot. Regards!

HI all, I Love books and of course the printed book "Affinity Designer Workbook" is fine! And I hope also in a Print book of Affinity Photo. But like I can see from the info I suppose the Book, is more "Workflow oriented" and It is only available in English! I'm talking about the user's guide supplied with AD and AP that is in HTML format only. IMHO also a simple localized PDF version (also in low res quality) of same user guide, for AD and AP, would be easy to handle. Cheers

It's Surely a good book! Maybe I will buy it! But I think it's just in English only! I believe, also a simple PDF updated User Manual (in all languages) it useful too, and easy readable in every device. Just do a PDF version from the AD/AP help. Cheers

Hello, just an easy question, on Affinity Photo. When You open a RAW file on develop persona "Develop" and "Cancel" buttons appear at the top left. If I click "Cancel" the image becomes very dark, as underexposed, why? Thanks
