  1. I have been unable to display .AFPHOTO thumbnails on a WIndows 10 x64 system regardless of icon size setting in Windows Explorer. Affinity needs to provide a CODEC for their file format; Windows does not natively support this (or PSD files for that matter).
  2. I am afraid that you are SOL on the .NET Framework 4.6.2 installation. I have WIndows 10 ENTERPRISE edition, fully up to date 1511 release and the .NET Framework 4.6.2. will not install regardless of which of these Microsoft bulletins you attempt to follow (the one referenced above has command switches that don't actually exist). I spent several days going round and round with two MIcrosoft 'tech support' people on their Visual Studio Installation forum. After several days of back/forth, attempting to run a .NET Framework installation verifier (this fails as well) and getting referred to 9 year old articles discussing .Net installation failures on Windows XP, they gave up and told me to check back when I had it figured out. It is my job to add to their knowledge base. Doubt you will find someone in Redmond WA that actually understands the internal details of Windows 10; it has become too large and complex. The .NET Framework 4.6.2 is part of the Anniversary update, I installed that on a Windows 10 test-bed laptop, and Affinity Designer Beta then successfully installed. You will probably have to go this route, installing the Anniversary update.
  3. Downloaded that. Ran it, same error. Like I said, this is not the first application that installs in Windows 10 x64 Pro that does not install in Windows 10 x64 Enterprise. I may have to update this PC to the Anniversary Release. I am in the middle of evaluating that on two other Windows 10 installations. Windows 10 has a history of breaking more things than it fixes. -russ
  4. That link does not work. Tried using both FIREFOX and Microsoft's own EDGE browser. You can press the Download button as much as you want, nothing occurs. I have run into other issues with the Enterprise Edition of WIndows 10. I doubt there is anyone at Microsoft who fully understands the different flavors of their flagship OS. -russ
  5. I have a different problem. 1.5.0.10 will not install at all on Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit. The problem is that the .NET Framework 4.6.2 Preview installation fails. Below is a snapshot of the error dialog: Sorry, the image was not accepted, so you will have to go with the LOG FILE. Essentially the error dialog said the argument 1 was not a valid WIN32 application. and here is the output of the log file: OS Version = 10.0.10586, SP = 0.0, Platform 2 OS Description = Future OS - x64 Enterprise Edition MSI = 5.0.10586.212 Windows servicing = 10.0.10586.486 CommandLine = P:\46cbc015f4b08eb3bbe65bce78111e\\Setup.exe /norestart /passive /showrmui /showfinalerror /chainingpackage Affinity /x86 /x64 /redist TimeZone = Eastern Daylight Time Initial LCID = 1033 Using Simultaneous Download and Install mechanism Operation: Installing Package Name = Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2 Preview Setup Package Version = 4.6.01532 User Experience Data Collection Policy: AlwaysUploaded Number of applicable items: 6 Exe (P:\46cbc015f4b08eb3bbe65bce78111e\SetupUtility.exe) succeeded. Final Result: Installation failed with error code: (0x000000C1) (Elapsed time: 0 00:00:40). Downloaded the installation file twice, got the same result both times. Tried installing as ADMINISTRATOR, same result.. The previous BETA has expired, so at the moment none of it is working. -Russ
