  1. Yes, please. This is another of those little not-normal-practice things that momentarily disconcert...every time you encounter them.
  2. Yes! Please add them for the normal paintbrush. The fewer times one has to switch tools, the faster the workflow.
  3. Thank you, James, for the Resize Canvas especially. That one I had struggled with trying to make it act like Photoshop's Resize Relative option and muttering about the hassle of dealing with fractions of an inch. Duh! Never occurred to me that, once I'd converted pixels to inches, I could just 'round down' and add the now-simple to determine desired amount.
  4. Thanks for the clarification, MEB. Makes me wish I'd never put anything in that Panel in Photo. :)
  5. The post I started earlier and then deleted was about this same issue in Photo, where it is a recurring irritant. In Designer 1.5.5. Beta 2, it isn't happening for me. The Left Studio does not show up when I open the program, change Personas, or use Tab. I have never clicked Show Left Studio and I have never set up a Shortcut for that. So perhaps it does have something to do with either setting up a Shortcut or having clicked on Show Left Studio at some point.
  6. What a fantastic amount of work you put in on this! Thank you so much for a very helpful addition to our toolkit.
  7. Thanks, MBd. Have you done one like this for Designer as well? That's the one that I'm a beginner in.
  8. Can I just quote jer and say, "Me too!"
  9. I don't know what I'd use it for at the moment but it looks like the kind of thing that, at some point, you would discover you desperately needed.
  10. Thank you! Really nice styles!
  11. The Designer Workbook, while great (I assume...it's sitting, barely cracked, on my desk while I work my way through the video tutorials instead) makes you slog through a whole bunch of projects while hoping that eventually you will find the one missing bit of info you need for your own project. A reference manual...with a decent Index!...would be heavenly.
  12. Oh yes! It would allow you to easily...repeat, easily...create a macro from any set of actions, including the ones that are now impossible because a macro won't allow user input.
  13. I think I'll just wait. I'd rather not have emails and messages scrambled. That would be confusing not only for me but for anyone I communicate with from the Mac.
  14. Huh! I had assumed (yeah, I know) that the betas "phoned home" to see if a new beta had been issued before expiring. So there's a date involved too?
  15. The first thing I noticed is that the tail "reflection" extends above the water and onto the log. Edit: Ah! My bad. Just realized that part of the log is reflected too.
  16. I'm not trying to speak for Serif but one difference between that and an mp3 you copied for use in your car is that you didn't just copy the PDF for your use; you shared it with other people. Like me. And I appreciated having it but I'll be glad to delete it if Serif wishes.
  17. Sorry, but I'm not seeing the "drama queen" bit here. The OP stated what was not working for him and asked for suggestions that he might have overlooked and what he got was a bunch of attacks. And BTW, the OP is not the only one using exclamation points.
  18. Thanks, bleduc! Very helpful for someone (like me) who is new to working with vector.
  19. Thank you, Chris. These look lovely.
  20. Thanks, Alfred. That's a very helpful and encouraging video. I know how to do most of the things I want to do in Photo but my copy of Designer has been neglected till now. This (along with the workbook!) is even more reason to dig in and really learn how to use this fantastic app.
