  1. Its an existing doc which I update all the time. checked other existing docs, and created 1 new doc and they seem to be ok, thank goodness.
  2. I just updated to Affinity Publisher 2.2.1 and my styles are all messed up now. I'd like to revert back to 2.2. Here's the problem. All my text eg, titles, lists, paragraphs display as text using character style hyperlink blue. I use a lot of styles and I don't want to have to correct every single one. Please fix. Thanks.
  3. Thanks so much @walt.farrellIt worked.
  4. I am using the Affinity Publisher 2.0.4 on a MacBook pro OS 12.6.3. When I export a doc to a PDF, then try to copy text from the PDF it looks like this: "These are fun exercises to pracce spong strengths. Please use the strength spong sheet on the last page for this acvity and provide a copy for everyone who is parcipang." The problem exists in the previous version of Affinity as well. Please fix. Thanks.
  5. @Old Bruce The way I solved my immediate problem in the screenshot I sent was to create a new text box for the bulleted list and paste into the numbered list. @walt.farrellI still can't figure out instructions. I instinctively open up a new doc and copied my list over. I see the 2nd level is pre-formatted and I fiddled around to close the space between the bullet and the text, but I can't get the bullet to line up with the text in the numbered list text. Please see the attached doc. Thanks for your help. formatted lists.afpub
  6. Thanks @walt.farrell. I don't know how to work with tabs.I have attached an example of what I want to accomplish. My current setting for numbered list is: Left indent 1p6, and first line indent 0p6. What tab setting would I need for a level one indent of bullets? Or, how do I un-grey the level setting? Thanks
  7. Hello, I have this problem too, I have a bulleted section within a numbered list and I want to indent it. I wish there was an indent button I could push. I can't make sense of the instructions within Affinity publisher, because I cannot find the items they refer to in my paragraph and text panes. In this case I see where to go In @DWright's example, however the level is greyed out in my paragraph window. Please advise, thanks.
  8. Thanks so much for diving into this topic @TomM1. And BTW I visited your site and your art is amazing!
  9. Yes. Affinity has an enlargement function, that's why I am asking about ON1. Is Affinity sufficient or do I need more enlargement power? Thanks.
  10. ON1 emailed me today promoting their latest plugin. "The new version includes performance enhancements and new features that make it even easier and faster to resize photos without losing sharpness and detail." My question is, given that Affinity Photo has photo enlarging features, do I need this as well? Does anyone know how they compare? I ask because some of my photo-based artwork looks fine at 5"x7" but I want to create professional art prints at 11x14. Thanks.
  11. I use the Macbook Pro clipboard. I believe I have solved my problem re style rules : specifically leading issues. Somewhere online I learned to turn off "Baseline grid" which had set the leading at 12pt, and now I can control my leading. The weird font "? -webkit-standard" (I am guessing Quark produced it) wasn't the issue. I can change the leading now. I had no idea about the Baseline grid setting and since it overrides leading in paragraph styles, I think the Baseline grid option should appear in styles. In other words, put everything related to a paragraph style in one place. Thanks.
  12. My problem occurs when I copy and paste from other docs, including Word and PDFs, not just Quark. Quark does not export RTF files. Did you look at the example files I uploaded previously?.
  13. HI Walt, thanks for offering to look into this issue. As it turns out my problem with leading and styling isn't specific Quark. They also occur when I make edits to an IDML file. When I copy and paste new text, it does not obey style rules. CAW import from Quark PDF.afpub Affinity typography problems.afpub
