Though I would be reporting a crash involving several iPhone photos I took at weekend, however I’ve just installed IOS 11.3 Beta 3 which just arrived today and AP no longer crashes, so looks like problem was an IOS issue rather than Affinity. So GM still looking good.

I don't think this is new to the beta (or iOS beta). I get similar performance on the App Store release, I'll see what development can do. With regards to the feedback, this is the same as the Desktop, however with that you have the mouse cursor showing the brush size, which is not possible on the iPad, so I'll get an improvement request logged about showing the brush size with the touch. However you could also enable 'Show Touch' to help you (which actually highlights another issue regarding the position being slightly off).

I went out yesterday and shot some photos with my ipad air 2 , I used the free Lightroom CC app. The camera control is excellent it lets me control iso shutter speed , white balance  point of focus lets me rack the focus and highlights in green what is in focus it even applies some styles before i press the shutter in realtime and I can use a timed delay as well.
 
Affinity Photo has a shutter button some pretty incomprehensible displays (i couldn't find any controls). 
 
The iPad has a pretty good camera but it needs the iso kept low in order to produce good quality photos   
 
The rest of the App is doing quite well , although I couldn't see how to save as DNG just 16bit Tiff.
It really does need some work on the camera module, try the lightroom cc free version to see how much control can be had, It handles my Pentax DNG  files pretty well but the iPad isn't just the platform to use when you haven't got your laptop handy it needs to work well with the onboard camera and so far this is disappointing.   

Im using the Apple Pencil mainly, but when I long press and move my finger  around 1 mm, while long pressing the taps disappear, I have to keep my finger extremely still to keep the Taps visible.

When I long press it in beta 5, the tips show up for a second then disappear even when I hold my finger right on the "?".

There seem to be something wrong with touches for gestures. We will fix it for the next beta. 
 

Meb, I think hr refers to iOS photos sharing directly to Affinity Photo, which it does not (currently) do.
Jacki3.... You can drag and drop images from photos to AF when they are open side by side which achieves same thing.
 

Yes. I confirm. Disabling "Touch for gestures only" it work again. With pencil too. Enabling that option, it doesn't work. 

Hi, the white background flash for Help is a known bug.
 
There are two Cloud buttons because one is an import and the other is open in-place. We have both otherwise certain Drives (ie Amazon) don't show up in certain modes because they don't support in-place opening. We will probably change the icon to differentiate it more.

Does the Files app recognize it as an Affinity Photo Document? Tap-and-hold on the filename and then choose Info from the popup menu. Does it show it like this, with a thumbnail and correct file type?

An sysdiagnose  contains the crash log in a very detailed log of what happens right before and after the crash, this may make it easier for the developers to find the bug.

Okay, when increasing shadows in the develop persona in the latest beta, I’m getting a horrible sparkling effect as soon as I increase the shadow by 1. This affects raw files (NEF) as well as jpg. This doesn’t happen in the photo persona or when using other apps like Apple Photos or RAW Power. 
Screens attached but this only seems to affect black images such as this moon shot. 

AP crashes immediately when I try  to change the color space in the info panel

you  might have alpha lock enabled, what I also noticed in the preferences in the tools tab, when you have „Touch for gestures only“ activated you can only paint with a stylus like the Apple Pencil on the canvas.

I am wondering if the current Affinity Photo app does not have the correct API implemented to view files natively in iOS 11's new files app. I know some apps have been updated to iOS 11 and have included the new API.
 
I have noticed that other apps that have a File Explorer feature are being updated to include files viewable via the new Files app on iOS 11. There are 2 different implementations I have seen so far, 1st: the app just lists the Service on the side and when tapping on the service to view files, brings up a pop up over the Files app. 2nd: the app updated their API to have files viewable in the files app native, and not a popup.
 
I have included some screenshots that may help explain what I am talking about.
 
I hope we can get native file viewing or file management with the new files app.

Please implement this feature,  I think it would really improve the overall usability of the app even more.  And you should be able to drag the photo straight out of the export screen in into other apps.

I am a full-time professional photographer and I'm very impressed with Affinity Photo for iPad. I believe it could allow myself and other photojournalists, who are often traveling with a lot of gear and transmitting images from the field, to lighten our loads and simplify our editing workflow. However, I need to be able to edit/append photo metadata without having to send the photos back over to my laptop. Specifically, I need to include caption/description, copyright status, location data, and creator/contact info with the files I submit. Currently, there is only one iPad app I know that can do this (Photogene) but it is set to become obsolete as soon as iOS11 is released.
 
I'd love to help develop this app for photojournalists, I think it would be a great tool for many of us.
