My eyesight is not good and I use 2 monitors with 2 different settings   for ease of use. I find   that working on a single layer (image) the image  gets  distracted  with surrounding  images/colours.
 
Yes I can select  layers by clicking them  on or off but it would speed up workflow if I could  click on it and hold the mouse button down on it  for 3 seconds would automatically turn OFF view of all other layers.
 
So this is more like an accessibility issue than anything else. Just  a suggestion.

When you create a SHAPE you want to REMOVE from the White ( so the black shirt shows through after printing... at the top right of AD you will see (or should see) a group of images in a box titled
OPERATIONS. Ensure you SELECT the WHITE image that is to be printed TOGETHER with the Shape you want to REMOVE from the white. Then with these Selected go to the OPERATIONS Box and SELECT the second image to the right. It has a light blue square with a grey circle  by it.The grey circle has the  mathematical MINUS sign  ( - ) on it. Click on that icon and Voila! there is now a Transparent area on the white image to be printed, where the black shirt will show through.

I’m thinking of making a pack of vintage/scroll frames, as assets.. 
can be a quick way to making ideas for vintage signs, sign painting etc.. 
i have been sketching some frames (as you can see in background) and now vectorizing them, so they can be edited.. 
Maybe it’s not necessary to make them as assets, but just figured out how it works :-) 
Would anyone be interested in a pack like this? :-) What do you think?

Welcome to the forums  
I'm not really sure if I understand what you mean by mockups however I'm assuming you are referring to smart objects. We would like to support smart objects in the future but we don't have an ETA just yet.

I am a user of Corels PaintShopPro for its easy to use lovely scripts from Creation Cassel. If you have  csh files you want to convert, you could try  using a trial version of psp then download and run this script.I have it and am just working out a batch run to convert the csh files into psp then into A Photo.

Seriously? Man I am glad you made it. I guess you are too! 
I am not young either, nor (really) old. I experienced a close call once too, although not as serious at all, but I was told it probably was. I thought the end was near for weeks. So thoughts emerged. I wasn't afraid, but I promised myself that if I made it, I would waste no time anymore, ever.
So I kinda know the feeling. You probably feel it much more. And now it just makes sense being creative.
This movie quote makes so much sense to me:

If you are messy person I recommend to practice applying a structured approach to serious designs as well. It REALLY makes some design work easier... because you avoid getting trapped in a hole of bad decisions, bad results and starting over again with parts of the design... or the whole shebang. It sounds boring and like the opposite of being creative but wrong wrong. That is why having a mentor/tutor is gold. You need methods. I was messy too many years ago, not going back. 
You don't have to way 11 months.  My personal favorite is 100 days of whatever you need to learn. You don't have to share or participate in anything, just practice for 100 days what you would like to learn. When you see how much you learned in just 100 days you will want MORE! The snowball starts rolling.
Method, discipline & hard work, a great idea and talent makes great results.

A new asset set of 90 elements with 3 subcategories with each consisting of 30 snowflake assets
Each set has 20 Flat Vectors and 10 dual layer grouped assets (So you can simply re-colour!)

These are hand drawn versions of the originals + Extras. using the raster Comic Ink Blocker Brush set. Then converted to Vector

Excluded the base elements this time around...but we have the Knife tool now so Chop Chop is the way to go!
