  1. Yes! Try it now.I have replaced the old link. Not yet done the individual files, but will do over the next cople of weeks.By all means please REMIND ME via message! Ooh_La_La_!.afstyles
  2. Before I heard of Affinity Designer I made a return to Serif products and purchased what was to be their last design program under that flag DrawPlus X8. That has a travcer facility in it.Not bad but you will have to tweak around -but you CAN save customised settings. So If I want to convert this is the first place I go. Then if I just can't get it done then I go to an online only file converter site. IF you do decide to use DrawPlus X8 ensure the Export setting is for Inkscape compatibility, NOT AI . By selecting AI format you may end up with a blank image! For the price of these Serif Legacy programs it is a small investment!
  3. Gracias Senor! Much appreciated!
  4. When you create a SHAPE you want to REMOVE from the White ( so the black shirt shows through after printing... at the top right of AD you will see (or should see) a group of images in a box titled OPERATIONS. Ensure you SELECT the WHITE image that is to be printed TOGETHER with the Shape you want to REMOVE from the white. Then with these Selected go to the OPERATIONS Box and SELECT the second image to the right. It has a light blue square with a grey circle by it.The grey circle has the mathematical MINUS sign ( - ) on it. Click on that icon and Voila! there is now a Transparent area on the white image to be printed, where the black shirt will show through.
  5. Hello, Last year I purchased Serif DrawPlus and was just getting stuck into it when Lo! Affinity Designer for Windows was released! I love this program of all that I have and also still am using Drawplus too.however DrawPlus has more useful content that I would love to use in designer, as this is the program to really lean.( i have the Workbook too). Can I legally transfer some of the content from DrawPlus to Designer? Or must I use DrawPlus to use them? I Have DrawPlus X8 and Designer 1.5.xxxxx. Thank you!
  6. At last I have started to create some assets to Give Back to the Affinity Community! This is a HEFTY style set of brilliant 300 DPI A4 textures. The set is a hefty 810 megs in native Affinity Style format! Next I will separate them out to smaller sets to download from here. In the meantime they are available as a single file . So if you have a slow or low internet bandwidth you can download the smaller sets - so PLEASE do NOT complain about the huge size! I WILL upload and post the smaller sets later. I hope you enjoy them as much as I had when creating the textures! LyricsGirl :>) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1WmFms5d6dDdUVOSHhqbzZfUms/view?usp=sharing
  7. Hi as I get oloder my already poor eyesight is gettign worse. In order to use most programs under Windows 10 Pro I have to use maximum pixels on screen..However doing so means that the text descriptors on tools rulers etc on the UI get so small I have to use a magnifying glass.I tried using the Windows Magnifier utility but its so cumbersome! I have 2 monitors and have one on a lower resolution but again it creates more problems ! Now that I have started to learn and use Affinity Products I really don't want to stop designing! Any other suggestions will be welcome too! Thank you LyricsGirl

  9. On opening the link to download it is Not Found. *** GOOGLE this: wayback machine plugin and select the one for your Browser/ system. It will open an OLDER Web Page it has Stored on Internet Archives' Servers. and Ta-da! You can then download the file!! WayBack Machine plugin reduces the experiences of 404 Page Not Found !!!!! ***

  14. Nice! Thanks! Perfect for my training  when I am creating my Vintage Aliens!
  15. Thank you for these videos! I learn so much from them and these have given me the confidence to start working through them Official Workbook. One very important thing I have learnt: creating almost any image is possible in Affinity Designer.. and it is NOT that complex. As long as the user is familiar with the the commands and plays around trying them out is the key to understanding. The Boolean Operands are Awesome! LG
  16. Thaank you much! Now I can create pirates out of mosaics...!!!!!
