    You should investigate as to WHY your monitor is doing this.NOT the program. Check if Resolution etc is adjusted by graphics card or program independant.

    Well I am not as much a Professional as all of you Testosterone members. However, after working with an on computers for over 45 years now, I am also in favour of A customizable a Saveable Workspace. However, I do not see it as a huge time waster in setting up the workspace to a style I prefer.After all, if you really know your program it should not take that much time in rearranging the tools to suit. There are certainly many more utilities to add or improve upon in the current version of Affinity - both Photo and Designer. Oh, and Remember this adage: "A bad workman always blames his tools". So if you are wasting too much time in rearranging the workspace, may I suggest you EITHER learn how to Speedily rearrange the workspace or learn to use it in its Vanilla layout.

    For Further Food for Thought: ONE area that will provide a real REAL difference to all other similar programs: Create something in the Colours Palette / Studio View area could be :- Image as Most of us See it. With a Split screen Showing the Colours of the Image as a Colour Blind person would see that same image. There are THREE main types of Colour Blindness:- Protanopia Protanopes are more likely to confuse:- 1. Black with many shades of red 2. Dark brown with dark green, dark orange and dark red 2. Some blues with some reds, purples and dark pinks 3. Mid-greens with some oranges Deuteranopes Deuteranopes are more likely to confuse:- 1. Mid-reds with mid-greens 2. Blue-greens with grey and mid-pinks 3. Bright greens with yellows 4. Pale pinks with light grey 5. Mid-reds with mid-brown 6. Light blues with lilac Tritanopes The most common colour confusions for tritanopes are light blues with greys, dark purples with black, mid-greens with blues and oranges with reds. The images show how the beautiful colours of the pigments are lost to people suffering with each type of dichromatic vision. http://www.colourblindawareness.org/colour-blindness/types-of-colour-blindness/ Despite LAWS in most Westernised Countries being in place that Web sites MUST be Accessible to All... they are not. For those designing for Web sites or images screens etc etc This SHOULD be factored into your designs. It SHOULD also be taught in Educational institutions. Little has changes since my Research and thesis into this way way back in 1998/1999.!!!! Visitors to these sites have the legal right to be able to access the same information as everyone else.

    I finally worked out how to create coloured image brushes for both Vector & Raster formats in Designer.The raster brush instructions also apply to Photo too. When a member of a Face Book group I belong to, asked how to create a brush from a png image, I set about creating a video. No text or voice-over, just some nice relaxing Royalty Free music and my mouse movements. Recorded on a Windows 10 Pro system but hopefully Mac users will be able to see what actions need to be performed on their O/S. I have also included the two single brushes here with Permission from Nikki. Any comments are welcomed.     One comment after consideration: The pixelation actually makes the overlaid reliefs more realistic. Don't forget that they are replicating gold leaf painting over hand carvings on rock bricks.. the pixelation actually adds to the 3d effect. I did a lot of this style at University in my Multimedia classes.

    Thank you GarryP. I will have to hook up my second monitor screen as switching in and out of the program to view the image as I go is tedious (I have low vision). Pointing out flaws that I have obviously not noticed is great.I am picky too. I shall rework it later on and upload an updated version. I invite you to also look at that version fro inspiring feedback! thank you!

    I am more drawn towards using Designer but will be spending more time later this year learning about Photo. One of my HUGE Designer / Photo add on packs which is my main production flow, requires me to need a photo editor, Despite being a long term user of another editor ( not PS!) which offers utilities not included in Photo, I find thta I can get what I am wanting in Photo without too much hassle. Let's say I am liking it alot.. So as my effort of showing off my creations here is one and I included the original image for comparison. Hope you like it. I encourage all positive critiques!

    A lot of useful info here.Thank you so much. At this point in time, them, I will classify this facility of Font as an Inaccessible font for many people. So i shall see what the W3C ( World Wide Web Consortium) has to say on this and follow from there. Accessibility especially on the WEB has been of interest to me since 1998 when I started my research thesis. At that time, Macromedia was around and they immediately implemented changes to their products with their web design software taking priority. I am surprised that Adobe did not follow that lead. I am waiting to experience this font through Firefox, which does support t from V.26 as they were a research partner with Adobe on this. Thank you.

    In cases of multi coloured it can be real time saver if you want to grab attention -even with the first font in colour.. This is a sample from one font set. The designer was gracious enough to update the folder to include an eps and png files for users of non adobe products. This in itself adds time for the designer. Perhaps it will be prudent to watxch for this years releases and uses...

    That is sad and many users unless they have ADOBE products will miss out on them. I am sure that we will be seeing more and more of them in the marketplaces for sale to other designers and the myriad crafters. Oh well I shall have to be patient!     Hi I have JUST come upon a NEW Colour Font! it is usable in later versions of Adobe products ( It is a joint collab with Mozilla & Adobe) and can be opened and used as below table. ANY info as to WHEN this Highly important new font can be at least opened and used in any Affinity products ( DESIGNER First, please!!) ???? I spent AGES trying to 'see' the colour in a font only to discover I can't.     Yes I am aware that the Affinity range were / are written from the ground up - they need to be... but I hope that this function will come along sometime in the future. I don't know how many windows upgrades DrawPlus will work under. There ARE online utilities but time consuming and expensive in the long run and to purchase and learn yet another stand alone just for converting purposes seems like another expence in time money and training......

    Hi, working my way through Photo tutes (Thank you!) and wondered if there is anything on deformation.I am attempting to learn how to transform raster & vector shapes into Concave and other forms.I have seen it as a macro in PS which I do not use but would like to do so in Photo! Thank you!
