  1. Sorry to hear that. Tell me which kit you are referring to, which program you are using and which O/S as well. How long did you wait for the styles to import and did the program state "not Responding". How much RAM and Graphics card RAM do you have. This may give me an indication to the problem

  5. The image is purely to demonstrate the transparency of the texture. As I stated it is merely a demonstration.Looking up the page you will see the style sets are quite colourful. I see you are a Newbie.so I am sure there is a lot to learn.. and Affinity is the product suite to do it.Enjoy and have fun ! Je vois que vous êtes un débutant. Je suis certain qu'il y a beaucoup à apprendre .. et Affinity est la suite de produits à faire. Profitez-en et amusez-vous!
  6. WHY is it ugly? The actual sample image? It is only one of 3 digital leadlighting kits I have found and it the ONLY ONE with transparent and opaque realistic glass textures. Can YOU create BETTER? Rather insulting , but thank for the comment.
  7. Thank you so much! I will copy and post to relevant F B groups. Awesome! Affininty team I am sure will sort this out asap, but right now they have a new baby to deliver on the 19th!
  8. Hi Callum, I am posting this for a couple of users.I have FF8 and Photo 1.7 and they work OK. One user I know has Win 10 ., another i am unsure of. I am awaiting further info from him.
  9. Hello, on behalf of some Face Book Fans of Serif Software ( which also includes Affinity) have updated to Affininty Photo V1.7 release. They currently have Filter forge V7 which up to last release of Affinity Photo V1.6x worked well in Plugin mode. However, this function no longer runs in Affininty Photo V1.7x. I have messaged Filer forge and they are awaiting information from Affininty. ^^^ Sorry I just cannot SPELL Affinnity correct. Please excuse!.^^^^^^^ Could someone please advise here what steps need to be taken to get this solved. I know Affininty is flat out with pending arrival of Publisher. Seems I am the Unofficial liaison between Affininty and Filter Forge! Thanks in advance Angela H Evans
  10. My first play at Photo 1.7 late last night my time...Enjoy! So far Gobsmacked at the changes.I feel like a kid in a lolly shop! Thank you Affininty! Yes! One Day I may even get to Spelling Affinninty correctly! Photo: Courtesy of NASA...

  12. Will there be any value of including Variable Fonts accessibility in Affinity products? I see this as being a great time-saver when working on projects requiring a single font in various weights. ** Not heard of Variable Fonts? reads here: https://developers.google.com/web/fundamentals/design-and-ux/typography/variable-fonts/ https://v-fonts.com/ https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/CSS_Fonts/Variable_Fonts_Guide https://medium.com/variable-fonts/https-medium-com-tiro-introducing-opentype-variable-fonts-12ba6cd2369
  13. Awww I love these! Thank you! I have posted some styles myself cant recall but look for my nAME!
  14. Awesomeness!!! Thank you and I shall have fun with these!!
  15. Downloaded, but seems to be totally unusable unless there is another way to access the content . . . and the above non working link doesn't give much reason for confidence. Please let me know what I''m missing. Affinity Designer assures me that this is not an affinity styles file format, as does Affinity Photo. Smee Again.. I do NOT appreciate negative comments without at least an option to rectify the situation. These files I am actually SELLING, but for those Affinity Users who bother to visit the Official Formus, I am offering as a genuine FREEBIE. BEFORE you ACCUSE anyone who offers genuine products for FREE out of their own generosity, as being " and the above non working link doesn't give much reason for confidence. ", I suggest that YOU educate yourself into the use of the program and how to install add ons such as style sets. So I would appreciate a RETRACTION that my products are not reliable.I work hard at creating useful add ons for Affininty products. So too do many other generous donors. Thank you Angela H Evans creator and Copyright holder of the OOH! LaLa! Styles Set. Have a good day and please learn how to use Affinity! Its a Friendly product made by Friendly people and used by Friendly people too!
  16. Hi Ronniemcbride! I also downloaded the brushes.I have made a couple of them and once I dig them out will post a link for others interested. Also Jeremy Child of The Artifex Forge is a well known designer in Illustrator and PhotoShop. He is also working on bringing some of his products to the Affinity users too. Here is a link to his shop on Design Cuts. Jeremy has just released a New Affininty product - Master Engraver Designer Brushes! Have a look as the Affinity products are mixed in with the Adobe Add0ons. https://www.designcuts.com/vendor/the-artifex-forge/

  18. G'Day ! When I work on a repair project, and it is something precious, I run 2 high dpi scans. 1 in color and in B & W. Then I work on copies of each keeping the original scans in a separate folder (just in case).. In the color scan I set out to then duplicate the colour copy and on the first copy I work on color correction. The second on details then on the B&W again, details. I then stack by sandwiching the B&W in-between the two colored images. Then make manual adjustments on each layer. When happy, I then merge them into a single final image. For lesser important images I do a scan always in colour even old B&W ones.. and work on them in AKVIS Retoucher. This is a faster way to repair some parts of an image.I purchased AKVIS before Affinity came out, and update it as it still gets used at times. As you become more familiar with Photo and also in the craft of photo repairs you will work out what works best for you and the particular project at hand. I think you did a wonderful job. On some repairs it may be more prudent to leave out or not 'fix' some areas as the result may be worse than the original problem.
  19. A great job. I would have actually worked in the original colours to ensure the white clothing was easily 'painted over' in the parts needed to define each person/clothing. I also sometimes work on 2 to 3 images separately, concentrating on one main theme on each.I then merge all 2 or 3 or more layers using the Stack utility. In some cases I also remove white paper on a layer image to define more of the finer details and overlay it.
