My way of raising money towards  the Australian Bush fires

Everything in my shop  that is sold between today, January 11th 2020 until February 29th, 2020 I will be donating 50%.That is SALES not profit. Daily updates will be posted  first thing every morning my time (Melbourne) AEST.

Also I am tweeting Affiliation links to hand picked designs form the same marketplace as where my design kits are sold.

Creative Fabrica.  I am also  in discussion with the  wonderful people at Creative Fabrica on a joint  fund raiser so look out for that as well.

So PLEASE SHARE. On the 1st of March 2020 I shall announce the total of the Sales  through my account at Creative Fabrica  (screenshot) plus proof of payment of donation to Official austrlaian Red Cross who have been Tweeted with the following short video clip.

I am 35 minutes away form the Victorian fires and watch the online Vic Emergency Services site 24/7. My heart is broken over the devastation ; those whose lives were lost; the animals  the millions upon millions of animals all gone. Just heartbreaking.

Yes mockups like I can download a scene of business cards or a backpack mockup that will allow me to change the colors and put logos on there etc so I assume smart objects yes

I always use the ones made in PS becasue Im not that clever!  I just use Photo  for this part. I select the smart layer wher eI want my design image to go and paste it.If it does not sit in properly I manually pop it into by right clicking and sliding it. For a final touch up I select my image and use the Perspective  / OR  / Mesh tool to ensure the image ius positioned appropriate to the mock up it is  on. I also now use the Isometric grids too.Really helpful.  Try recreating a mockup item  using one of thje many PS tutes on YouTube

    @LyricsGirl Thank you this helps.

I was able to convert the .csh using the trial version of PSP based on the link you provided. I can see all the images in PSPShape for mat but wondering how to bring all these files to Affinity. Not sure if there are any batch processing option available.

After Christmas PM me and I will work on one!

    Or at least try!

    Hi

Yep sure... apart from the lack of sleep and a worn out Wacom:) it is simply a drawing challenge started by Jade Parker 4/5 years ago...
The official Link is here: Inktober but there is also a YouTube Channel: Jade Parker and also: Extra

There was also a report on the BBC this year about the project: bbc interview

There are a couple of articles on affinity Spotlight that give you some insight into what people do for the project:
    RoundUp 2018
    RoundUp 2019

    Hope this helps!:)

Basically, 31 drawing =31 days (INK) [Word Prompts] but you don't need to..the objective is to take part. There are lots of options that you could choose
    A. 1 Drawing/1 Drawing with 31 elements from the word prompts
    B. Follow the official word prompts or not or make your own or not
    C. Do as many as you like ..Pick the first 10/every other one/5/10/15/20 etc
    D. Post online with #Inktober +Date (wherever you like;instagram/twitter/pinterest are popular) (I choose Pinterest:was Google but they took it away!)

Ink/paper/pens/pencil is the official line but yo can be digital. There are no strick rules. Equally you can use colour if you choose

One rule don't be frustrated if you do not complete...in 31 days...I have only managed it once in 4 years (2017) but was unhappy with the results...I last year I decided to concentrate on producing 31 drawings and ignore the time...(see how many you could do(18 last year/12 this year) in a month then carry on!)..Same applies this year but the drawings are more detailed but taking longer..+resources....When you put all the drawings side by side over the years you can compare and see the improvement (it works..but is time consuming)

    Hope this helps...have a go:)
If you cannot wait until next year there are other challenges for most most..or create your own...There is also March of the Robots..in March strangely!..the same but with robots....

Wow! I shall have to get some tools for this and practice. Yes I like a cjallenge at times! Thank you so much!

I was sorry to see how this thread spiralled out of control. Personally, I would love to use these styles. The holidays are approaching way to fast, after all … ;)

I would probably want to suggest that we should make this into a bug report. I tried to install the styles, but I ended up with the same error message on macOS Sierra 10.12.6, latest version of Affinity Suite. So there must be a bug in the export algorithm, which would be, in my opinion, worthwhile to have investigated by the team. :)

So rather than getting mad at each other, we should try to get down to the bottom of the issue. I’ll post a bug report re-uploading your file, @LyricsGirl. Hope you don’t mind. :)

Thank you  A_B_C for your posting. This actually makes sense that  forums users were experiencing problems while the Group members on a Face Book  group where I also uploaded the files to, did NOT experience problems.

I have now  created a NEW style set from Affinity Photo Ver 1.7.3   and uploaded them to a GOOGLE DRIVE in the hopes that forum users will be able to successfully import the Candy Cane styles. I have also included all the textures in either JPG or PNG format as well as one sample of what final textures you can create from them.

I have also messaged one forum member  privately as I feel that is how any negative or personal discussions should be handles, not publicly for all to see. I have been upset over what was meant as a Goodwill Gesture.

I will NOT comment further on this  thread.

    Thank you.
