When clicking on Text Tool, the writing is always placed on top of board.

Is there any way to centralise the text?

    Hi tiago1801,
Take a look at the image below (also note the blue thin lines which represent the paths/geometry of the objects).

Select the layers & choose "Group" from the layers menu or use the keyboard shortcut (on a Mac it is CMD+G).

    Hi tiago1801,
The top and bottom distance to the frame depends on the font selected (it's a property of the font). Currently there's no way to place the text in the center of the text frame (vertically) unless you convert the text to curves (turning the letters into shapes - thus non-editable after the conversion). This may be implemented in a future version/update.

    Hi MikeMoyle,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Affinity will display the rulers in the units you set for your document. So if you change you document units to inches the rulers will also display in inches. You can change the document units in the context toolbar when the View Tool is selected (Photo and Designer) or in the Document Setup dialog in Designer (menu File ▸ Document Setup...).

    Hi Tiago1801,
The object you are trying to snap to may not be a snapping candidate. Go the the Snapping Manager (menu View ▸ Snapping Manager...) and check Show snapping candidates. This will highlight/outline all objects that are snapping candidates with a purple outline (that is it will show you which objects can be currently used for snapping - Affinity doesn't snap to all objects on your project at the same time - it would be a mess of smart guides). If your rectangle is not outlined with the purple line it means it's not a snapping candidate and as such the smart guides don't appear.
To make it a snapping candidate, mouse-over it a few moments until it gets highlighted/outlined with the purple line, then you can snap to it.

    Hi Tiago,

Please could you click the square in my attached screenshot to see if that gets the coordinates back to normal for you?

Alfred, I think the OP is wanting something in-application more like this (from XDP):

    Hi tiago1801,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
The 960 Grid System is not implemented directly in Affinity Designer but you can download the templates form here and import them into Affinity. There's several formats you can import (PSD, AI etc).
