  1. Hi all, when I design something in Designer, wether it's an Artboard or not, when I want to rotate is from portrait to landscape or the other way around, I have to do it in steps with the 'rotate left' or 'rotate right' menu option and the most irritating thing is that when a design is rotated, elements that are newly added likt text, are nog in the same orientation as the design now is. Besides this very strange way of working which does not seem intuitive at all to me, it would be nice to work on multi page documents in Designer. Will rotating a design like from portrait to landscape or the other way around become more intuitive? And will Designer be able to create multi page documents (a flyer, magazine etc)
  2. I answered the version Q and by now it's 1.5.4 with the same issue. A full 90 degree rotation of a design in every aspect is too much to ask for I gather? The way Affinity Designer works now it seems using it is replacing non intuitive working software with other non intuitive working software;-)
  3. oops, that's a disappointment. It may be a media browser but inadequate when one has a lot of photographs and slow. Is any improvement expected? This will not lure me from Lightroom to AP.
  4. Hi all, is the media browser in Affinity photo like this (see attached image) in Lightroom? I mean, can I access my Lacie 4big quadra completely from AP like in Lr and see the folders, click on a folder and see the thumbnails of the photo's like in Lr? Sincerely, Patrick
  5. Hi all, I've created a file in Affinity Designer (Mac) and noticed that when I export to PSD, which I need to do in order to be able to print my design with ImagePrint, everything converts pretty good except text. In the exported PSD, text becomes something that looks like the text but is not editable as text anymore. Is this as designed? Or is this a bug? Sincerely, Patrick testprint.afdesign
  6. The dartboard trick is nice but still, when I start typing text it goes from top to botton in a rotated document, whilst I selected the dartboard and rotated that. Is something broken?
  7. Great and this is why I wrote the 'am I looking at the UI with my ass' part;-) Where do I find it? When I right click on it I see 'rotate left' and 'rotate right' but when I do that, it's in small steps and when I after that add text to the design, that's still in the documents original direction so I have to manually rotate that, with every object I add.
  8. This one I noticed too and the document is not square. So I can see this as a feature request? Rotating the canvas is a pretty normal feature I'd say;-)
  9. Hi, I'm contemplating moving from Photoshop CS6 to Designer and it looks great. A lot of things I use are easier to do which saves a lot of time. Now there is a small usability issue which is that I start every design I make with a template. When I design a landscape, in Photoshop, I rotate the template 90 degrees to the right and after finishing the design I rotate the entire design 90 degrees to the left and export it so I can drag it in to ImagePrint to be printer as a rasterized image. If you're wondering what it is I do check https://godonwood.nl/en/content/6_how-we-do-it Now how do I do the right and left rotating of the entire document in Designer? When I do 'View' -> 'Rotate Right' the document rotates but when I add text, the text is entered as if the document wasn't rotated which makes an extra action, rotating the newly entered text, mandatory. This doesn't seem to fit the ease of use I find in other aspects of Designer. Any ideas? Am I looking at the UI with my ass?;-) Sincerely, Patrick
