  1. Thanks for the beta Affinity, I'm excited to give it a go against Adobe and GIMP on a project I'm currently working on :) Haven't gotten much further than installing and testing out the different personas/tools so far. A couple of notes: My PC: Dell Inspiron 5000, Win10, 8GB RAM, Radeon r5 w/ 4GB dedicated, and a dual core with 2.5 to 3.1 max I think it was. Will update when I get back to it this evening. Basically, it's a ~$700-800 range laptop. Notes: Affinity installer asked to install a .NET 2015 library - I think it was? Does anyone know if there are conflicts between that and others? I ask because... Upon restart several errors. Wacom tablet software had a runtime error on startup. More worrying, Mozilla Thunderbird could not connect to any of the 3 emails I have attached to it. Startup was, as advertised, ridiculously fast. 14s first time from desktop, 12s the second time. I will be trying many other programs while this is installed, so we shall see if they encounter any new errors as well. Will see if it encounters any issues with gaming clients, GIMP, potentially Adobe (if I get motivated enough to move it this newer machine), Scribus, OpenOffice, Thunderbird, and a few other development resources. I did run through each of the personas and a few of the tools on each to experiment over lunch today, and it seems intuitive enough. And I guess the only other thing to add for the time being is context of the user! I use Photoshop/InDesign for my day job (general marketing) the past 3 years, occasionally for freelance work with small businesses (print materials + web), and for my own personal projects I also use illustrator. Off/on with a wacom tablet. Pending no crashes or conflicts with the rest of my PC, I'll have some images and examples/translations of workflows to share within the next few days. Cheers Affinity team! It looks like you've created something awesome here
