  1. Miguel is spot on - only certain types of gradients are supported by the PDF output path we use at present (we currently make us of Apple's PDF path). We are developing our own PDF output engine so expect a lot of this to change for the better soon - we will be able to output to all the major PDF standards and have much finer control of exactly how each item is presented in the file. Our current solution is only temporary, but hopefully sufficient for most tasks, so I can only apologise in the interim...

    Thanks,

    Matt

Thats fine thanks. At least I know it wasn't me doing something wrong. I can now adjust the files accordingly.

  2. Hello,

Firstly, Affinity Designer is amazing, so thanks!!

I have an issue though, hopefully a solvable one.

I import one of my AI files, edit it and export to PDF so it can be sent to the printers. For some reason, it doesn't retain it's ''vector-ness'' - IE when viewing the PDF at 100%, it's all pixelated.

I must be going wrong somewhere in the settings, as I did a test. I created a new document, made a few shapes, exported to PDF and opened in Photoshop at a ridiculously high resolution and the quality at 100% zoom is flawless. When I do that with my original document, 100% zoom is all pixelated..

So - Where am I going wrong here?

    Thanks.
