Is move tool going to work more like free transform in Photoshop? I'm not gonna lie, and this is one of the basic tools that work great in PS and doesn't have a real equivalent in Affinity.
Edit: Just watched the clip and it's not the case this time.

And, here a video showing the new rotate-on-plane feature of the Move tool.  A new shape is created into a grid, using the "Edit In Grid Plane" mode.  Then, with the mode on, any rotations maintain the grid plane perspective.

Thanks for bringing the Affinity apps to the Microsoft Store, guys! A great step for the Windows platform, Affinity and users who don't have to bother using serials and manual updating 

I bought Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo for Windows through the Affinity website when they were launched. Is it possible to transfer these two licenses to Microsoft Store?

Windows and Mac both at the same time with the iPad version running later.

Features are features and whatever features are included initially I am pretty certain they will grow over time. I am also pretty certain that Serif has its own concept of work-flow and this concerns me as much or more than even eventual features. Related would be the how things work. For instance, one of my biggest hopes is that the text style scheme in APub isn't like how AD is presently. And swatches. I think they need an overhaul in AD.
 
I have little hope these things (and more) will be changed when APub hits (or ever, really). Sounds rather pessimistic, doesn't it?
 
That doesn't mean I won't be a purchaser. I will be. How much it is used, or to what extent by me personally, simply depends on both features and work-flow.

I would say yes. PagePlus has a lot of powerful features and Publisher will take a few years to catch up. It is likely to be some time before Publisher would outstrip PagePlus in functionality.
 
$25 is peanuts for such a powerful program.

As far as i know the Affinity Photo Workbook should be available before the end of this month and will be available through the Affinity Store like we do with Designer's Workbook.

Creating a custom palette in AD is so simple stupid that this post should sound pleonastic...  :)
Anyway I'd like to share these two palettes.
 
The first one is the famous FlatUI color set.
The second one is the legacy Fractal Design Painter color palette, I'm carrying with me since I was sixteen  :D

Of course database connectivity would be useful, but let's get Affinity Publisher out and handling the essential publishing functions first.

Affinity Publisher is an unknown quantity - PagePlus is a competent piece of software that'll set you back (I think) £19 - if you've got clients waiting it's a no brainer!

This is already available on Windows however the shortcut is a little different: press and hold ALT + right mouse button + left mouse button + drag horizontally to change brush size and vertically to change brush hardness.

That sounds like a polite public way of saying that someone’s gonna get a spanking tonight. :D
