[How Do you Use The Inpainting Tool brush]

Very interesting reading, however this is fine "IF" any of the tools actually worked on a regular basis. I have used Affinity on and off ( mainly OFF) over the last 18 months due to sooo many failures of the software to respond. Last week I had 20 minutes of editing tools like brushes and fill tools fine, however moving to the Inpainting tool this failed to select. From then on NONE of the tools responded. I have tried by both restarting the computer and resetting to factory settings but now even other functions appear to be unresponsive.

Further problems prior to this were with attempts to try-out focus stacking and HDR stacking which both crashed my iMac.This desparately needs MUCH more work to be done by the developers to get this software to a usable and marketable product. If it were possible to re-install, it may work. but I don't see how that is possible.

I guess I should have purchased through Infinity direct rather than an iTunes download. Now stuck with what constitutes an unusable product.

Have wasted 4 evenings with JPGs from 2 different models of camera and still HDR merge crashes my iMac (Mountain Lion 10.8.5) EVERY TIME. I suspect Apple are really P****d off with my crash reports which now run into the high twenties. I feel robbed and also mad as hell to have wasted SOOOO much time on this!!!!!!

I can't believe i paid £30 for something that can't even import photos from my desktop without crashing! 

 

i've uninstalled and reinstalled the App and no joy!

 

I'd like my money back!!!!

[Batch processing of HDR photos]

Hi dear community and support,

 

I really like the HDR function of Affinity Photo for MAC. But now I need to convert about 40 HDR photos from 120 seperate photos.

It would be very nice if there is a possibility to do this with batch processing... 

1) take 3 following photos

2) HDR processing

3) image optimazing

4) save the HDR photo

 

Could anybody tells me how to do this?

WOW, this is really advanced! I have spent hours trying to get my first HDR images to load and successfully create an image. Every time I manage to open 3 images the whole program shuts down. Must be my ancient Mountain Lion OS 10.8.5 therefore probably obsolete/incompatible with software of this caliber!!! Just the reason I moved from MS rubbish

[CRASH AFTER CRASH AFTER CRASH]

Every time I click File - Open and then select any file from my images Affinity crashes. Using an iMac with Mountain Lion. Any suggestions would be gratefully received as I want to test this software.

Feel like you've thrown away good money! Almost all but simple ops crash without getting anywhere. AGAIN blame Mountain Lion! This was probably designed with earlier OS systems but like most things, Changes are made with NO REGARD for earlier  systems compatibility. Can I smell a Microsoft thing here!

[Affinity Photo Crashes with NEF]

I to have complete failure to open any NEF files, crashes EVERY time. Using the now "latest" v1.5 (2016) release.

Having been new to this photo editing I have been learning with the simpler JPGs but now graduating to NEF/RAW with 3100/7100 files have not managed to open a file yet, let alone do anything clever like raw HDR layers.

[Photo can't open raw files from SD card]

I have had NO luck in opening ANY NEF files from either my D3100 or D7100. Affinity crashes immediately if I try to open any NEF files. iMac returns message "REPORT Problem To APPLE".

Purchased this as a beginner about three months ago and have only just taken to processing NEF but as yet have been unable to open a file.

Do the files need to be converted to another (typically DNG) format to open as now failed to open any of 150 frames in Nikon NEF. Must confess it is a good program for JPGs but if this is the future of Affinity I will look elsewhere. iMac OSX 10.8.5 Mountain Lion.
