Robertmt reacted to CorsairVelo in Canon "Print Studio Pro" plug-In support question
Hi,
I'm a happy owner of a Canon ImageProGraf PRO-1000 printer which comes with a nice Photoshop plugin for printing called "Print Studio Pro". In CS6 I access it from the FILE / AUTOMATE menu.
In another post a link was given to the plug-ins you support and don't yet support (http://www.miguelboto.com/affinity/photo/plugins-support/)
I would like to get Print Studio Pro added to the list as I've found it to be a great printing tool. Or, if someone can give me instructions how to get it working that would be great, but if not getting it "on the list" might be a good idea.
I've attached a screen shot of the folder it creates in Applications on the Mac by default.
Regards,
PG

Robertmt reacted to AuthorAuthor in Suggested feature enhancement changes
Hi, I'm Gary Bouton, author and mediocre illustrator, and instead of taking my own advice to lurk before posting to get the Lay or The Land, here goes:
• I love the abilitry to use the mouse wheel push to pan the page. Now, can the mouse wheel be set to zoom instead of scrolling, or offer the option? I'm a Windows Guy, apologies in advance, and don't care much for Adobe Illustrator, never have, because it takes something like 5 moves to do something that can be done in 2 in CorelDRAW, and one in Xara Designer. So mouse wheel Zoom as a feature request, please?
• As long as there's a right-click Context menu, do you think you could put anchor (node, connector, knot, the guy a path travels through) changes on the Context menu? You know: cusp, smooth, perhaps even symmetrical? This saves a trip up to the bar on top, and I'm sure I couldn't memorize Ctrl, Alt, Shift, or combinations thereof.
It's an absolutely fantastic "One oh" program, and I love the examples you've chosen from artists to promote the product. The work in one of the biggest reasons I signed up for the Beta!
My Best,
Gary

Robertmt reacted to paolo.limoncelli in DAUB Pigmento - 84 Natural Media raster brushes
No real issues with paypal.
Gumroad confirms that it is as MEB kindly explained (thanks)!
It is obviously a matter of design of the web page.

Robertmt reacted to WalterBeiter in [DAM] Affinity Lightroom Killer Request
As Adobe has decided to make the import screen in Lightroom suitable for Instagram users, I have concerns wether Lightroom should be replaced in the future. Adobe makes this concerns even bigger by publishing buggy apps too early which ruin lives of professionals.
Last year, Serif came out with this Affinity-suite and I have high hopes that they will release a Lightroom alternative. I am serious about that, since Capture One, well, does not work for me.
But if you do, make sure that people can transfer 100k photos with any adjustments non-destructively.
I don't know if you have plans for this, or if you have resources for this. But if you have, well, I would be the first to buy.
Adobe is going for Instagram users with all their iOS-photoshop-mix-fix crap, which is not what professionals want. I know that one day, I will enjoy Affinity Designer on my iPad without compromises.
And I hope you guys could rescue the professional photography business.
I know this post has not the right spot in the forum, since everything is about Designer or Photo. But I just want to post this to see wether this could be the future of photography.
Any name suggestions for a Lightroom alternative?

Robertmt reacted to paolo.limoncelli in DAUB Pigmento - 84 Natural Media raster brushes
Hi!
Pigmento is a set of 84 raster brushes carefully handcrafted for digital painters
Designed for Affinity Photo and Designer, this set offer natural media look and feel. Acrylics, Gouaches, Oils and more with expressive colour dynamics and tablet responsiveness to speed, pressure and direction.
Now updated with DAUB Spatula set (12 new tools for Paint Mixer Tool) and a new classification: you'll find them in different categories, hopefully now it should be easier to spot the correct tool!
Check this video for a quick sample!
This set is fully compatible with Windows and iOS Version of Affinity.
This is a quick concept done using one of the included tool, to show the colour dynamic and blending features.
Some Tips
DAUB Grunge Acrylic 4
This is a brush that creates nice textures with a glaze effect and continuous tone modulation using pen pressure.
You can use it as a pure cover changing the blending mode to Normal.
Do you know that with Pixel tool presets if you press CMD key while painting you can erase using the same preset?
Get it here
I'll improve these tool with free updates, so if you want those please add your real email to the purchase page.
Happy Painting!
Paolo

Robertmt reacted to eross21 in AutoTrace (convert raster image to vector)
maybe I'm missing it, but is there an option to open a JPEG, or bitmap image
and trace,or convert it to a vector file for further editing? If not there should be one, it would be a great option. even if it had only a few modes like black and white, and 5 color
it would make me convince me to convert from adobe illustrator

Robertmt reacted to beencent in AutoTrace (convert raster image to vector)
Just bought Designer with the hopes of phasing out of Illustrator. Love what I'm seeing so far, and wanted to add my 2 cents that a Live Trace option looks to be the only thing I've noticed so far that's keeping me from being able to use Designer exclusively.
Nothing fancy... I do a lot of black and white cartoon work that gets vector traced in order to bring into file prep for merchandise. I need a tight fidelity so that the hand-drawn roughness of the line quality is preserved. Black and white is necessary, though color options would be great to see.
Thanks so much for the program, and I look forward to seeing future updates!
