Please could you clarify exactly what's still happening?
The problem we think we've fixed is the one I quoted above: that short clicks could be interpreted as long clicks when the system was under load.
The behaviour of object duplication on long click is by design.
Yeah i meant only the duplication thing. Which is still annoying i don't understand why is this by design, there is absolutely no reason for it and i haven't seen any program behave like this.
(Not that it would mean that it couldn't be a good feature, but it's just not IMHO.)
The duplication time is still very very short, at least it should reach into the seconds territory.
OK thanks anyway, i will test it under load later.

Have you tested this in.21, a second build issued today?
Sorry i meant .21, got confused by the updates. So yes.
-
.20 and it still happening on 2 different computers. (With Both CTRL, and ALT)
-
Yeah, and still nothing snapping to it. :)

It would be great if the panels that are not docked could be shown after you pressed TAB to Toggle UI.
For example i set swatches, stroke, characters, and paragraphs toggle to F1-F4 keys, and i could then work with great efficiency just toggling the panels i need, when i need them, all while im working in fullscreen.
Thanks

Crashes on startup sometimes, and opening old or new document with d3dcompiler missing message

Yeah it should keep the settings, as that is the reason you paste the style in the first place.
And its definitely a bug, because if you make a copy of an object, and THEN resize it, and apply the same FX, it will keep the settings as it should work.

It's a single click for me?
Edit:
I think i get your problem:
The locked icon is always there if you hover with mouse
It's not double click, so when you click it twice you always set it back where it was.
And yeah, the graphic is misleading, i think it should reflect the current state.

I had this sorta reported a few days ago, but now i can replicate it constantly.
Just create anything on an artboard and change some constraints property, then group.
It only happens when there is an artboard in the project.
If i move the objects out of the artboard, grouping works fine.
-
Selecting objects with marquee selection doesn't display context toolbar
If i add them to selection with shift or ctrl+clicking, it works.
-
Paste Style and Paste FX change the scale of the effects applied depending on the size of the target.
Strange exception:
If you make a copy of the source object, no matter how you scale it, the effect will be applied correctly.
-
Create 2 artboards
Create object on artboard1,
Select it,
Pan to artboard2 (sholud be far enough to scroll out of view a bit)
Press Ctrl+c, and Ctrl+v
New object has no home :(
Until you move it a bit

Thanks!
I believe ruler guides are owned by an artboard that you drag them onto which would make this by design. However, in this case, if you drag a new guide to the copied artboard objects will not snap - this is the bug (I think).Im not dragging new guides on copied artboards, Im just copying an artboard that already had rulers on it. Then the duplicated artboard's rulers won't snap.
(not all the time, but after a few copies they completely stop working)
-
Recorded a gif, you can see the mouse click length of the circle around the cursor
-
Update:
Cant even drag new rulers anymore on artboard3
-
Create artboard
Drag a few guides
snapping works
copy artboard (sometimes on the second copy)
Won't snap to guides anymore, just on the original artboard.

Global colour not changeable with Colour panel
Create a document palette
add a global colour
colour an object with it
in the Color panel menu, set to sliders
try to recolour the object
- The slider panel closes as soon you try to interact
-
I can attach, but it's as simple as creating a new document, creating any object, and holding ctrl+click on it.
Works every time on 2 different computers, Don't have to group anything.
If it's already selected, works with ALT+click too.
-
Thing is, if the project is a little more complex, it literally takes 0ms for the object to duplicate.
I merely Ctrl+click on the object, not even holding down the mouse, and it duplicates already.
there is a bit of a loading inbetween where it calculates what i clicked, and i think it thinks i was holding down the button the whole time
I have just installed a clean beta on a different computer, and the problem is still there.
I just create a rectangle
hold CTRL
click on rectangle for ~250ms (not moving mouse)
release mouse button
you don't even have to release Ctrl, the duplicated rectangle appears in the layers

Resetting didn't solve this for me

Holding CTRL+click on an object without moving the mouse duplicates it.
This is uncalled for, and makes excess mess, creating stacked copies a LOT of times.
Especially in a complex project, when it takes a sec for the program to respond to my selection,
i want to just ctrl+click an object to select inside group, and bang, i duplicated it like 3 times already.
In my opinion, there are a lot of VERY basic interaction bugs that should be sorted out in Highest Priority.
The Ctrl+drag duplication, and then undoing only undos the dragging???
I mean WTF.... :D

Ok, i now can replicate it every time:
Create Artboard,
Create a few objects
Change a constraint option on any of the objects
Drag and make a copy of the artboard
Group the objects on the new artboard
The whole Constraint group will jump out of the artboard the same offset as you dragged the artboard away.

Holding CTRL+click on an object duplicates it
in [ARCHIVE] Designer beta on Windows threads

Yes that is perfectly understandable, thanks.
This could be solved however:
Did mouse move happen after all?
No?
Don't duplicate after mouse release.
