  1. I just installed the new beta and have the same error. I suspect this is because I also still have installed previous 1.5.x beta (forgot to uninstall it). The thing is that I clicked on the new beta link, not the old one (the splash screen clearly says 1.6.0.70 beta) so it must conflict with the old beta: I'll try to uninstall it and see if it fixes the problem. Edit After having uninstalled the 1.5.x beta, I still get the same error. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling 1.6.x beta but still get the error. I guess some registry key or files were not removed from the system and Affinity Photo keeps looking for it.
  2. I understand this is not a priority, but that bothers me: I like coherent stuff :) My version of Photoshop (which is rather old) has a dropshadow: Considering it's far from being a priority I understand it goes to the feature requests.
  3. I can confirm that loading pictures using drag & drop seems to take more time that I expect, although it was not huge pictures. I haven't timed it, but wondered "hmm.. seems to take a long time". I am also used to photoshop (which isn't particularly fast imho). Edit: some numbers below 4500 x 3000 px JPEG file (769kb): 70% slower -- Photoshop: 0.71s Affinity Photo: 1.21s 5120 x 3200 px JPEG file (12.4 mb): 80% slower -- Photoshop: 1.13s Affinity Photo: 2.05s That's on a Core i5 (desktop) / 8Gb RAM / Win 10 / Affinity Photo Beta 37
  4. Since Windows 10, application windows have a nice dropshadow much like macOSX have been doing for a decade: Since it's native, every app has this drop shadow, every app but Affinity Photo which for some reason doesn't have it: I'm using Affinity Photo Beta 37.
  5. Hi Chris, I was using build .35: it's fixed in latest build. The pointer now has an outline. Thanks!
  6. Affinity Photo's mouse pointer is very dark and when editing dark pictures it's very difficult to see it. I'll suggest having some white outline to make it visible in most cases. See this screenshot: the pointer inside the circle is barely visible. Note: in Photoshop it seems the pointer color changes depending on the mouse position. When it's over a dark area the pointer turns white, and it's black otherwise.
