I also feel it would be well received, if there was a Barcode generator built into the affinity software. I have been using an online generator for one off codes and adding them into my Publisher work for some time now but feel that if a big job with multiple codes was needed, I would be unable to supply.

Since installing moments four on windows 11, I have an intermittent bug, which is now beginning to annoy me. Pull out an icon from assets panel move it around using arrow keys after a few seconds of time moving in one direction it just vanishes still showing up on my layers panel. Sometimes if you move the arrow keys in the other direction it magically comes back, sometimes it does not. Now today I pulled out an icon from the assets panel which went below the layer I was working on. I tried moving it to be above via the layers panel, nothing happened on work area, so moved the top layer out of the way only to find that icon had disappeared. I can't really drag a file to show you this in action, I never know when this is going to happen, as I said above, it is intermittent, and I can't seem to be able to replicate a recipe that works every time. Using an Acer PC windows 11 22h2 moments 4, 12th Gen Intel(R) Core (TM) i7-12700F 2.10 GHz, 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable). 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Have the full suite of software all on version 2.2 The above seems only to affect Publisher.

Hi Guys, can I make a suggestion. More and more photos are now appearing with the ext AVIF, but this does not work with the Affinity suite of programs, the only way I have got round this is to open the pictures in Gimp, and export as PNG. Feel if possible that this ext really needs to be able to open in our suite, as the popularity of this ext is really growing now.

Just seen your email, had been working with pub, and photo all day, did not come up to install on ether, but open designer install prompt appeared, so installed fine and quick, went back to photo checked for update then installed, same with pub. first time I have had to actually check for an update but the installation on all three was great. Ok! don't worry, triad a different way. The above file will download to your computers now. As I said, this would work fine if you put the picture into "Photo 2.04" directly. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both publisher and photo, but it makes no difference, I always get the same result. Which in the past was not the case.

Hi Guys, sorry it has taken so long to get back to this but had a stressful time lately. I have recorded a small movie, what format do I use to put it on here? As I tried just dragging it onto the attach files, and for some reason it's not playing on the site. It is wmv format at the moment. works on all my computers no problem. inpainting brush not working.wmv

Hi Ron, Checked all the things you suggest all expected. Pictures are just added via the insert picture,and pulled to size. text inbedded into picture, not on a separate layer

Hi Walt, As I said it always did until a few days ago, now it only works when not moving over from publisher. Can't understand what's changed.

I have only had this over the last few days. Working on a project in publisher 2.04 wanting to remove some text on a photo so click on the photo persona tried using the Inpainting brush to remove the text, but all I get is the assistant saying the photo has been rasterised, and the inpainting brush seems to be doing nothing. If I open Photo 2.04 on its own, bring the same photo straight into that program inpainting brush works as expected and removes the text. As I said earlier this has only just started to happen in the last few days, and it is happening to every project I am working on. So not sure if this is a bug or if I have changed something by accident. Thanks for the Help, I have now done the drag and drop method which appears to have worked, funnily enough, dragged them into publisher, which also put them in photo, but not designer, so dragged them into designer separately. Will remember this if I get any other fonts in this way. (By the way "Import Content" did not work, wonder if this is a bug) I have a window 11 PC with the latest updates including "moments 2"

I have just downloaded the fonts pack which you have kindly just given away, as you know they are in ".affont" format, On reading your guide it say "Affinity Fonts are installed and managed directly in Affinity 2.0.4" but it does not make it clear as to how to install them into the into the programs. All other giveaways have installed automaticly, but the fonts are not showing up in my installed fonts list. Any help would be appreciated

I am not sure if this is a bug, but I'm lost as to why this is happening. purchased the free download of the "Dreamphography brushes" which are for Affinit designer 2, and also Photo 2, opened up designer and imported them in through the import system built into the program. which tells me that all went fine, and imported correctly. But i cannot find them in branches. So opened Photo 2, and there all sitting and working as expected in that program So how can i get them working designer2? Windows 10 21h2 8mb memory

Acronis is my friend for life. I have now used that program to put them back for a second time, gone in and made another copy of the asset file. restarted my pc before trying to use Publisher, then started publisher after the re-boot, and all my assets have come back, and so far, stayed in place. Scared to try and add any other assets to the mix. one thing I did notice before I did the reboot was is you just try and slide an asset into the panel, now not working, but if you go back to the old way selecting asset, going to asset panel and asking to put the asset in the panel that appears to work. Feel this is a backward step, or is this anther bug

Thanks I found them, and put them all back I thought. But I now feel Assts is defiantly broken, as I started publisher and they were all there, then as I started using the program, I found assts were getting lost. very strange, so went back to where they are residing only to find the file had shrunk to half the size that I originally recovered. How easy is it to return the previous version 1.9.1, as never had any problem until moving to 1.9.2?

Thanks I think I may have a backup stored in Acronis backup, where would this "assets.propcol" be kept.on the computer? Appreciate the help.

I will explain what I did Which made this happen. 1. I used affinity Photo to make an icon giving it a transparent background, also removed one word, saved file using "save as" (Left file open in "Photo") 2. Was using "Publisher" working on a document, and imported the icon into this work. 3 Then using "Publisher" I used artistic text to ad back the word I needed to complete the icon. groped to the two together. Wanted to add the grouped icon to assets. But the program told me this was not possible. 4.So, I copied the group over to "photo" which now resided as the top layer, and the original was being used as a background layer, which I unticked to make invisible. Then saved as a png. 5.Exported the png icon into "Publisher" 6.Tried to add the png into the assets panel. "Publisher" stopped responding. Waited some time to see if the program would come back to life, but nothing happened, so had to us the three-finger approach to force the program to close. 7.Started "Publisher" again, found the icon had made its way into the assets panel. 8."Publisher" informed me there was unsaved work, would I like to get this back, I said "Yes" and the program stopped responding. So had to close in the same way as before. 9. Tried again this time saying "No" to the un saved work. Program stopped responding. So had to close in the same way as before. 10.Started "Publisher" again. Thought it must be the icon that had been added, tried to delete it out of the assets panel. this made my PC become unstable. 11. So had to re boot my PC. Which took a very long time to get re started. 12. Finally, when the PC came back to life, Open "Publisher" Which now seems to be working. But all Five Pages of Assets have completely gone missing out of the panel. (Not Happy) Question: Is there any way to get them back? Hi anon2, Thanks for the information about the "A", I wonder what it had been used for in this picture, as there is no transparency needed in this picture. Unless this picture was made from many different layers to composed within another program. I have found that all the pictures on the site I got this picture from has the same Alpha channel "A" within their description's, and this is the only time I have come across problem. Now I am aware of this, I will look for this before I use their pictures. Thanks!

Ok! I found away in to convert the main picture into a CMYK picture when resaving as a JPG from within Photo. which appears to have worked, this I fear maybe the only work - around for the problem. I think that the "A" maybe a new copyright add in to the RGB format to stop people from using a particular picture in the way I use them. So, in future I will look for the "A" in a profile and change to CMYK before using the picture in my work. Thanks for your HELP!

Sorry I am not sure I understand, as I have used the icon images in many other layouts as is without this problem ever coming up. The main picture tells me it an RGBA/8 with sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile. checked the 18, and this has RGB/8 with sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile. only difference is "A" not sure what the "A" in the profile does to the picture. I tried changing the profile to CMYK but there was no option to do this in Photo. I then looked at a picture I had done Tuesday, using the same two icons on a main picture, checked the profile of that picture, and it is RGB/8 with sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile. Transparent background on both the two icons was as expected, and until now I have never had this problem. Is RGBA/8 not supported within publisher, and if not would changing the format to say PNG make it work, as the icons are both transparent PNG pictures.

Hi Guys I have just installed the new version 1.8.5 of Publisher, and found a really bad printout problem. I have two different Canon printers (MG7550, and TS8251) both are showing the same thing via Stright print out, and also export from PDF. A dark background is showing where it should be completely transparent. It does not show on the program, or on the PDF, only on the prints. This has never happened before the upgrade to this new .5 version. I am not happy, as this is a very bad bug to have just appeared. Is there any way to down grad back to the previous version? Hope to hear from you soon on this matter. Thanks!

Hi Guys, I'm sorry you can forget the post above. I have now worked out how Publisher works with fonts. It appears that it groups fonts into categories so all styles of the Ariel font are grouped into a sub set, so this is why at first, I thought they were missing, So clever. (Need to keep quit until I have really used the program for a bit )
