  1. Is this any better? I feel like the shadow looks more like a reflection. Bummer! What do you think?
  2. Hmm. That's interesting. I haven't met the Mesh Warp Tool. Is that in Designer? I need to look into it. Thanks a lot!
  3. Hi everyone, I'm working on this image. As you can see the pot and the lid have not been too difficult so far but the label which is made up of multiple pieces is causing me problems. I want it to bend so as to fit the perspective of the part. In Corel draw this would be fairly easy using an envelope but in designer we do not have that option. I tried using liquefy in Photo by getting it to just curve rather than smudge didn't seem to be possible. I wish I could group it and then use the node tool to bend the group but this doesn't seem to be possible. What would you do if you are trying to put this piece together? Thanks very much for any help, Phil
  4. You're absolutely right! I couldn't work out why it didn't look as though it was real or rather, really there. I'll try to fix that and repost. This is fun! Thanks for the kind words. I want to learn more about using masks to simulate more complex lighting next.
  5. Is this better? Thanks for all the input all!
  6. I'll look at all these but yes, it floats over to you when it rings. It's a VERY advanced phone!
  7. Just another learning piece. Constructive criticism welcomed. I know the perspective isn't quite right!
  8. I have actually been a professional photographer for 30 years and am au fait with catchlights! I was referring to the way the red area is lit rather than the catchlight.
  9. Wow, this one is gorgeous! The light on the red object is just wonderful. I have been trying to get that look unsuccessfully. Any chance of getting this source file too, to pull apart? I'd love to do that! Thanks. Phil
  10. Wow, that puts me to shame! Except that I'm practising mindfulness and being kind to myself! I'm trying to learn to draw which I absolutely cannot do so think that this is super helpful. I do have one question. How did you make the squiggle? I see it is known as "group" and is a child object one named Curve. Did you make a single squiggle and then reproduce it over and over and then group and rotate the whole thing and converted to a bitmap? It would be interesting to know. Thank you so much for doing this is genuinely inspiring. Phil
  11. Thanks for that. Is this any better?
  12. I never used Camera RAW in PS and for the same reason I don't use the Develop persona in Photo. I used to use LR but once I quit Adobe I bought Alien Skin's Exposure and there's nothing to touch it. I do all my RAW conversion there, process to a folder, catalog in ACDSee and do finishing touches in Photo (including correcting perspective). Exposure is SO worth the money!
  13. Sorry I've been absent. This looks like just what I need. I will get on it asap. In the meantime here is what I have come up with so far...
  14. Right. That's what I have but there's no way (that I can see) to make the bottom thinner and the top broader other than doing it manually, one node at a time. Is that right? I do have Photo but I'm hoping not to have to rasterise it. Maybe I WILL have to go into CorelDRAW. Poops! Unless I'm missing something.
  15. Getting there! If I group them then I can't use Add (for obvious reasons, I guess). If I don't then I get this. Is there no way to do the perspective other than manually (or exporting to CorelDRAW!)? Thanks for sticking with me on this.
  16. Yes, the salad bowl is what I'm after! DrawPlus had it! In the mean time can you explain what you mean in words of no more than two syllables? I'm dumb and I think what you're talking ab out is just what I want to do but can seem to make happen. Can you spell it out? Thanks!
  17. Hi all, I have made this set of objects and groupend them. I now want to distort them as a group (spoecificcally make them thinner towards the bottom and a fewe othert things. Most programs have an Envelope tool or something similar. Is there any way I can do something like that in Designer? Thanks for any help as usual! Phil
  18. Oh my god! Will that work?? I am at work but will try that when I get home. I will be so grateful if it does!
