  1. I'd really like to have a scale tool in affinity designer. Sometimes I work with maps, and it happens I need to define 2 different forms that share 1 border. These items often have different scale, and to allow borders to perfectly match, the scale tool in illustrator is perfect: 1) I match 1 point of the 2 shapes; 2) I select the scale tool; 3) I center scale in the matching point; 4) I grab a 2nd point in 1 of the 2 shapes, and I drag it to match the same point of the other shapes. 2 minutes job, easy in illustrator, impossibile in affinity designer. I'd really like it.
  2. Or just add a new affinity software for slides, which could have features no other presentation software have until now: layers, filters, a real form editor where you can play with forms like in designer, ecc. I think especially layers could be a huge step up vs power point or any other software of this kind.
  3. Cool, thanks. To summarize, I hope you'll add: snap and move from vertexes; resize tool like illustrator one, able to select center of resize, and vertex to stretch from. Do that, and I could really move to affinity, because my 1st impression is really good. Meanwhile I'll play and explore it!
  4. More specific, well then. Imagine I have 2 maps. 1 of these maps is the map of a country (let's say US). Now I need to put on this map the map of a state, let's say texas. The 2 maps have different size. I need to put texas in the correct position on US map, and in the correct size. In illustrator I normally put one vertex of texas on the same vertex on US map. Then I use the resize tool, and I put the center of resize on that particular vertex. then, I stretch the shape of texas until I hit a second point which should coincide. If the process is correct, the 2 shapes will match perfectly. If I am not clear enough, let me know, I'll take some screenshots.
  5. Hi, new to Affinity. I just discovered it, and I am enjoying it very much. I have just a question: Is there a way to resize a shape using a referenze point and snapping to another object? In Illustrator there is a resize tool, which allows to select origin, take a point, and stretch the shape from that point to the destination point through snap. For me is vital, because I work with maps, and is very important that complex shapes coincide perfectly. Thanks in advance!
