Yes I agree, Alfred, platform independence is a good thing. Where would we be without PDF?

I know it now caters for Mac and iPad, (interestingly not Android or Linux) and that's obviously a good thing if you use those technologies, but 'multi platform' might be too broad a term to use as it has only been expanded to include Apple. However, my point is I don't see any material difference as a Windows user in the look and feel or the feature capabilities. In fact there are fewer features in Publisher than in PP, but I expect that will change during development.

What do you mean by the technical base? I know it's been written in an up-to-date language, but what else?

I don't know what the rest think but to my mind the more updates Publisher get, the more like PagePlus it becomes. This is not a bad thing as I don't think there was anything wrong with PP. It makes me wonder though what it's all about. Is it just an attempt by Serif to shake off the 'Hobbyist' image that the Plus series has acquired over the years? Maybe, I don't know, but keep it up Serif and eventually we'll end up with a product we all like but with a different name. Sorry if that sounds cynical.

Fixed! I noticed I had 1.5.0.2 installed. Updated to 4 and everything appears to work again.

Hello Can’t run this any longer. Worked fine for a day, now won’t start. I get the initial logo, then it dies. I’ve done a system restore and a system clean up and re-installed Affinity, but still won’t start. Any ideas? Best wishes Dave
