It has worked for me in the past, and then it didn't in some beta release, and then it did again. But I agree that it appears to be broken now in .249.

Then it was a misunderstanding. It were better if i had moved the rotation center in the video out of the center.
I have not an example, i found it while i was playing and testing with publisher and then i found this behavior and thought that this is a bug because in 1.6.5.123 this it not will be hidden.

I've spoken to development about this and can confirm it is an intentional change, as it generally doesn't make much sense with a multi-spread document which are common place in Publisher. The Reset Rotation option is just to be able to reset the rotation without having to go back into the Designer/Photo Persona.
Wosven, leaving them on the right-click menu was an oversight so I'll get that passed on to development to remove them there as well!

What about adding a little plus sign to all the buttons that are intended for adding an object, such as a page, a layer etc.?

You can find it on the right-click menu. But I'd rather  have 45°, 90°, 180° options than 15° steps (or 15° and 90° options), and freehand rotation in apps like AD and AP where  we draw more and need angles suitable depending of our drawing than in APub.

Multi-language UI
We now have localised text for all of the languages we intend to support at release, and the Preferences UI to switch language has been enabled.
However, we are aware of quite a large number of issues currently with UI layout and missing translation text. If you wish to log an issue on the forum that you think is purely a translation issue (i.e. UI layout, text truncation, missing translation, incorrect translation) we would be grateful if you could make a post in this specific thread.

Hyperlinks
We have our first pass at support for Hyperlinks. You can place Hyperlinks on text or other items in your document and create anchors for them to target. You can also create hyperlinks to document pages or internet URLs etc. These hyperlinks will export to PDF, though be aware not all varieties of PDF support interactive features. This feature is mainly driven via the Menu, Text > Interactive and the Hyperlinks Panel, View > Studio > Hyperlinks.
Additionally if you create a TOC or Index and request hyperlinks on export the TOC or Index will be furnished with hyperlinks as appropriate.

That's fine, but what if you aren't placing an image into a frame? With the Place Tool you can scale the image as you place it on the page, rather than ending up with a layer that may be much larger than your image and needing to find the corner nodes to scale the image.

I am really liking publisher so far, and can imagine working with it professionally in the future.
I am using indesign cs5.5 at the moment and one thing I would like to see in publisher which is in this program is collapsible panels.
I like to have some panels open all the time, like character, paragraph, pages and color. This already fills my workspace pretty much, but I would like other options quickly available too, but not take up space all the time, f.i. the text frame option, the text styles and stroke options.
Having some way to group a couple and minimize them would be very helpful.

Just use Page Plus when you want to work with PagePlus files ... the program ist not updated anymore, but it works perfectly fine as is and will continue to do so. :o)

I will find out. We recently changed the translation procedure so now all our 1.7 apps are in sync (as I thought they would be when I wrote the above in September). I think we should be able to do all other languages for Publisher soon. We will need to check them internally first.
