An easier way is to click "Convert image colour spaces" in the PDF export settings. It doesn't work in PDF X/1a but the others are okay.

Hi Gabe - I've found that if I click on the problematic image in Acrobat Pro, Edit Image in Photoshop, convert to CMYK and save the PDF - the image opens correctly in AfPub.

In the new Beta 822 the Data Merge tool can easily be used as a step & repeat tool with easy live changing of columns/rows/gaps/position etc. I wonder if it would be better done as a separate Step/Repeat tool rather than a part of the Data Merge tool. Either way it's a welcome new feature.

This is with text vertically aligned to the bottom in both cases. It looks like the frame curve is giving some kind of vertical padding. I'd call that a bug.

Studio / Text Frame / Fill. I don't know why it's not possible to see the shape in the Layers panel. Maybe its not really a separate object to the text.

Same thing here, also in ADesigner. If you use a keyboarde shortcut to change the font size of Artistic text you can see the start position move to the left as you reduce the size and move to the right as you increase the size. Maybe it's to do with the space before the glyph in the font metric.  I wonder if previous versions also did this. For what it's worth I've just checked with CorelDraw 2017 and Artistic text also behaves like that.

Hi Tetsujikenny - I don't think any Affinity software has auto save so I'd suggest saving every few minutes. I use a program called AJC Active Backup which automatically saves versions of your documents when you save it so if you get a corrupted file or you accidentally delete a file you still have something you can open.

I'd like to see a text colour option so that text which had acidentally been tagged with CMY other than zero could be spotted in the Preflight panel. I've just imported some text from someone and it has ended up with a lot of CMY as well as K. Furtunately I spotted it in Acrobat before sending out the file.

Just a bit of feedback here. I've started to use AD for make eps files for sending to a vinyl cutter. For years I've been using CorelDraw6 for this and AD has some big advantages - font selecting is much easier,  changing artboard size simpler, interface less cluttered. I know the sign industry isn't the main market but I thought I'd give it a mention.

I like using Affinity software but I have always found the UI to be quite poor is some areas so I have put together a shopping list of suggestions which I think would make a big difference. Many of these have been mentioned before. I have trialed Quark  2019 and the interface there (on Windows) is extremely good IMO. It's uncluttered and easy to use and I'd like to see Affinity products move in that direction.
1) I use the light UI. In the transform panel when I tab from one field to the next there is what looks like a 1 pixel blue line around the new field which is very hard to make out. The normal Windows way is to reverse the colours so it would be pale text on a dark background. The dark UI doesn't have this problem because the blue line is easy to see against the dark background.
2) If I select text which contains different sizes and fonts the Font Size and Font Family shows a blank. This is as it should be. But most of the other fields in the Character and Paragraph  studios don't work like that. They show the characteristics of the first glyph in the selection. In my view that is poor design.
3) Studio configurations to be saveable and to be able to use different ones where required.
4) When I use any Affinity software I find myself looking at a whole bunch of Studio information. I know they can be mimimized but I'd like an option where going from one studio to another automatically minimised the first one. What I'd prefer in fact is just a narrow customised list of Studios on the right side of the screen (saveable), with clicked Studios opening to the left of this list. Clicking a new Studio would automatically close the previous one. If someone wanted to have more than one open at any onee time they could just be dragged away from the main list.
I hope these suggestions are not taken in a negative way but as a way of improving what is still very good software.

Someone has given me a PDF which needs tweaking. I couldn't open it properly in APub because of missing fonts. So I tried Xara PGD & I got a message asking whether to install missing Google fonts. I clicked yes and the document now opens okay in APub. That's a nice surprise. If Serif could implement this feature that would be good.

Hi Pyanepsion - this can be done by using paragraph decorations (set the thickness and left indent) and left indent on a paragraph. Save as a paragraph style.

The pre-flight panel looks excellent. I have a couple of suggestions to make it even better.
1) It should be split into bleed and safe zone
2) As it is at the moment it seems to take its required value from the bleed. I can see why this value is used for both the bleed and safe zone but it would be nice to be able to set these individually.

Once a text fame as made the corner attributes seem to be locked in. I'd like to see options in the Text Frame panel to enable round and other corners to be made and changed.

When shift moving the table headers the mouse snaps to any guides, which might help with precision.
