  1. Hi @GarryP Yes - I misunderstood the original question. A hidden rectangle with text wrap will do the job but it's not pretty. I'm pretty sure InDesign CS6 has the same problem with curved frames.
  2. This is a single object converted to a text frame, then given a 1mm inset. The afpub file is attached. If You are still having problems i would suggest uploading a file for people to look at. example.afpub
  3. Hi @Joe_1 As a workaround you could temporarily give the document a very large bleed size. Wrong spellings off the page are picked up as errors as long as part of the text frame is within the bleed area.
  4. Hi @Rallef Is this what you want? If yes, just make the text frame very narrow (1mm or so).
  5. Same problem when printing to a PDF printer.
  6. I have just noticed that images tagged as "K only" aren't printing on my 2 printers (Xerox 550 with Fiery and HP Pagewide). Exporting to PDF doesn't have this problem. Anyone else with this issue? Windows 10, Publisher 2.1
  7. Same issue in Publisher, Designer & Photo on Windows
  8. Hi @Hangman On my Windows this font size change doesn't happen. The font size of flowed text doesn't seem to depend on document dpi.
  9. Hi @arcnorThis attachment has 3 layers and Acrobat Pro can view the layers separately. Maybe you could see if your PDF viewer can do that. Untitled- 1 2 3.pdf
  10. Hi @arcnor - Are you hoping that Publisher will make a 3 layer PDF file and that a PDF viewer can select individual layers? If so then I think you will be disappointed. There are 2 issues here. Firstly Affinity Publisher layers are not layers in the sense that other dtp programs (such as InDesign) use layers - they are more like an ordered object list. As far as I know Affinity Publisher does not create layers which are user selectable in Acrobat. If I am wrong perhaps others will say so. Secondly you would need to check whether your PDF viewer can access the layers within the PDF. I think that is unlikely but I might be wrong.
  11. Hi @arcnor - PDF viewers are just that - viewers. They are not designed to edit within the PDF.
  12. Hi @arcnor sorry - I still don't understand. You supplied a afpub file which can be opened in Publisher 2 and the hidden text layers on the 2 document pages can easily be selected and the text colour changed etc. Are you wanting to select text from your PDF within your PDF editor (which is?) or within Publisher? If you are wanting to use Acrobat Pro to select invisible objects, there is PitStop Professional but that is very expensive.
  13. Hi @arcnor If you are using Publisher 2 have you tried Select/Select Object/Frame Text or Art Text? It works over multiple pages. If that doesn't do what you want it might be worth creating a dummy pdf using pdfsandwich and sharing it on this forum for people to investigate.
  14. Also happening in the release version 2.04, so it's not a regression but a continuation of an existing problem.
  15. The fault is happening here with all strokes from 0.1pt to 1.4pt. That is for a 2 1 0 0 0 0 stroke pattern. If you change the stroke pattern to 3 1 0 0 0 0 the problem happens from 0.1pt to 0.8pt. This is a 72DPI document. If you change the Document Settings/DPI to 300 the problem only happens up to 0.3pt. This must be a rounding error of some kind.
  16. I've got it now - see file below. I was playing aroud with the Balanced Lines file (was that your file?). Presumably it's a related issue. Balanaced Lines2.afdesign
  17. Hi @HangedMan I didn't save the file and now I can't repeat it. I'll keep on trying.
  18. This seems to be a regression from the retail to the beta in Designer Beta 1769
  19. Hi @Hangman - I'm getting wierd things going on here with your Balanced Lines.afdesign file when I zoom in. I think it is caused by the very small page size and the very low dpi figure. It's okay in wireframe mode but not in Pixel view or Retinal pixel view mode. A generated PDF shows the same problem. I'd guess it's caused by the underlying units being pixels. If you simply change the document size to A4 you get the same problem.
  20. Hello Willi - glad you have sorted out your problem, though I'm not sure I helped much. As regards DXF export - only Serif know the answer to that question.
