    Hi George,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Go to the Styles panel, click on the menu icon on the top right of the panel, select Import Styles... and pick the .afstyles from the dialog.

    Hi TheBaronHimself,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
That's the light background bleeding through the edges of the shapes due to the antialiasing (smoothing out the "step" effects you see around objects like circles, diagonals etc). In a case like yours you can combine all three red shapes into a single object eliminating the gaps between them selecting all and using an Add boolean operation. You can keep the original shapes editable if you perform a non-destructive Add operation pressing and holding ⌥ (option/alt) while clicking the Add icon in the Operations section area in the Persona Toolbar (see screenshot). This will result in a compound shape that you can expand in the Layers panel to access and edit the original shapes.

Please also make sure you have Use Precise Clipping checked in Affinity Designer Preferences, Performance tab, as this also may help solve those issues in some circumstances.

    Hi sflomenb,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
This is a side effect of the way Affinity (and other software) renders the objects on screen. This should only be visible at arbitrary zoom levels. If you set your view to 100% zoom, 200% 400% and so on (x2), they shouldn't appear. It also doesn't affect the output.

To solve this you you can join them to create a single object from both parts To do it select both parts, then click on the Add icon in the Geometry Operations section.
If you want to keep them separated in case you need to adjust the silhouette later, press and hold ⌥ (option/alt) to create a compound shape instead. If you go to the Layers panel and click on the arrow near the thumbnail of the compound shape you can still access and edit both parts independently.

I'm not sure how much of the white edges you want or need in your project, but I created something similar with 5 shape layers, 3 for the edges & one each for the ring's interior & exteriors. I colored the 3 edges with something other than white so they would show up better in the screen shot, but you might want to do something different with them.

    Hey Ronnie,

I just discovered this neat little trick for quickly making vector arrowheads using AD's pressure control palette. Check it out:

Can also be used for tails...

Not a stupid question at all… couldn't figure it out either…  It's actually very simple...

    1. Download the brushes
    2. Go to the brush palette in AD and select "import category" from the drop down menu on the right side (4 short line with a triangle)
    3. Select the new brushes in your download folder (or wherever you've saved them) and click "open"
    4. Play with your new brushes

    It's that easy!
Newly imported brushes can be selected from the brush menu right beneath the "Brushes" menu label!

    Hope this helps

Hmmm.. I know they say there's no such thing as a stupid question, but this may be an exception. How do you import a brush into the brush pallet?
