    Hi @affinityfan & hi @B13eL,
would you please be so kind when posting '+1' posts indicating what you are supporting. Is it a 'Shape Builder Tool' or a better named thread or 'Feature Request' in general? Otherwise your postings have not much meaning to others. You could do this by quoting the part of the message you want to '+1'.
And, of course @affinityfan welcome to the forum 🙂
    Thank you both,
    d.

Better yet, don't post at all - just like the post in question.

Quote part of it if you only want to express agreement with that part, but the meaningless "+1" posts just add clutter otherwise.

I have no idea when this may happen.
What I have found (on Windows) is an 'api-ms-win-core-rtlsupport-l1-1-0.dll' file in the program's directory.
I assume Serif won't comment on that 🙂

This is an excellent suggestion. For this project I have numbered the objects (one layer of postal code regions and one layer of labels). These are locked base layers. Any 'to be changed' layers will be on top or in between and always be distinctly one purpose, e.q. dynamic sales territories or regional marketing campaigns. It would be nice and safer to be able to sort on the tags involved in the stacking order (Z-axis).

In due course I will upload a screenshot of the finished project. Thank you both for your thinking this through.

While our loved Affinity Designer still has a long way ahead, and it has plenty of bugs and issue, I would like to thank those developers who are, I believe, working hard to make the best they can, during this hard time almost everywhere.
To all members here, Take care, stay safe.
    Thank you

dominik got a reaction from Cuando in Studio Toolbar Icon
Studios are one of the core features throughout the Affinity Suite. To access them they are burried in the menu 'View > Studio' which requires three points and clicks.
I would suggest to have a toolbar icon to access a list of the Studios available in each application. Preferably in combination with a keyboard shortcut.
(I searched the forum but did not find a similar suggestion. I may have missed it).

Thanks very much for your feedback everybody, at this point I haven't tried your suggestions, but hopefully will do soon,
In the meantime I thought it might be a good idea to show a better example of how I used feather in Illustrator....
I like how the top layer blends with the bottom.. (this example was done very quickly, without much detail...)
    Thanks Lindsay

dominik got a reaction from Mr. Doodlezz in Option for »Text as Curves« restricted to linked resources only
Maybe you could create a version within your AD file where all text is converted to curves? Then hide the original. Then you spare the extra step of exporting to PDF as Walt suggested.
You could keep these seperate in two folder layers. One contains the original design, the other contains the vector only version. This should not be too much of organisation.
I assume hidden layers will not get exported from APub.

    Hi there!
I just wanted to share a list of sites that offer Public Domain Pictures in good quality. Some of them are listed in this thread, but I wanted to add more and publish a list of this kind of content (CC0 License, and also a High Permissive Licenses sites). Also, consider that there may be additional restrictions implied on these pictures, like brandings, buildings, people, etc.
Also, please read each site's Licensing in order to ensure what can and can't be done.
Edit: Since I crated this Topic, some things have changed, so: I removed non-working links and added a few more:

I've replied several times on the DXF / DWG thread, and many other feature request threads (and I would prefer that this particular thread doesn't turn into a duplicate of a particular feature request), but...
When we released Designer originally (5.5 years ago) it was marketed as "Vector illustration and design". At no point did we mention CAD, or technical illustrations. A lot of the complaints that we receive with regards to this seem to be along the lines of "I've just switched from product X and I'm disappointed to find that you don't support DXF/DWG!". We recommend that potential customers evaluate the software (via the trial or reviews) to see whether it meets their requirements, and if it doesn't, please stick with whatever you are currently using. I appreciate that people would love to have this functionality in Affinity Designer, and trust me, it's something we discuss internally, but we need to focus on the core features (and bugs...) that people expect for vector illustration and design. Since we released Designer 5.5 years ago we have been providing free feature and bug fix updates over that time, so it's possible DXF/DWG and/or other feature requests may be added in future versions, but we don't make any promises until the code has been added, else it will lead to disappointment if we promise a feature and don't deliver it or don't deliver it on time. We recommend checking the beta forums to find out what features are arriving in future versions, and feedback to us in order to guide the development.

Excuse me, this is the definition of global colours.
If you want to have global colours that are restricted to just one artboard you have to adapt your workflow. You can define the same colour multiple times and e.g. call them 'corporate red artboard 1' and 'corporate red artboard 2'. That way you can change them seperately for each artboard for multiple objects.
    Cheers,

Please don't claim that there are no new features in 1.8. This is not true. Please see here:

If you find bugs you might want to post more precisely so that the developers can look into (and hopefully solve) them.
    Cheers,
