Hello @Ento, welcome to the forum.
Are you referring to this tutorial?
I think, the textures are applied with the 'Frankentoon Texturizer'. You can get it there.

Create a new document and leave it blank. Open Data Merge Manager (DMM), add a source and click on 'Source > Select'. With the 'Open File' window open click in the DMM on 'Close'. This obviously closes the DMM but leaves the 'Open File Window' open. This itself seems to be wrong to me. In the 'Open File Window' click on a data source file and open it. APub vanishes after a second. I tried this several times with different source files. It seems to be consistent.

    Hello @adi_cataleya,
I do not experience this. Can you give an example with steps to reproduce this? And perhaps a screenshot of you snapping manager?
    Thanks,
    d.
PS: if it turns out that it is a bug it would be worth creating a seperate thread for this.

Hello @StanleyHarrison and welcome to the forum.
currently there is no exact control to force the dots to sit exactly on the corners. This is something I miss, too, because in certain situations it results in not nice looking shapes.
I recently found a workaround that can be usefull if you have to create not many and simple shapes. In my case it was a couple of dotted frames around text.
You simply 'build' the shape from single lines and make sure that beginning and ending dots overlap exactly. Once finished you can group the whole thing.
This is really just a poor workaround but perhaps it helps you with your project.

Honestly just posting to keep a thread at the top of the listing is a little like spamming the forum. It does not add anything to the discussion and if everyone would do this with their pet features the forum would eventually become unusable.
The moderators have explained many times that they take note of all the requests. '+1'ing does not influence their priorities.
Please take my post and opinion just as a friendly reminder to think about this.

You can also distribute a desired number of circles evenly, between start and endpoint, with the alignment panel (Space horizontally).
This can be tricky though, when your object has an uneven length of sides.
Sometimes you can cheat and just stretch or shorten the row of dots to make it fit. When its only a small amount it wont be visible.

The dot at the beginning of the line automatically sits exactly on the start of the line. It only takes a little fiddling to fit the last dot more or less exactly at the end of the line. Note: if you carefully start to drag the end point of the line with the Node Tool the last dot shows up when it is exactly over the node.
To align the the two lines you turn on snapping. This makes it very easy to snap the two ends of the lines to each other.
Theoretically this should align the dots exactly on top of each other. To check this you can set the line colour of the top line to a lighter tone. Then you will discover that the dots do not cover each other by 100%. But zoomed out you won't notice this.
Another tip if you want to rotate the lines: turn on 'Transform Origin' in the toolbar of the Move Tool and snap it to the line end where both lines touch. Then you can rotate one of the lines and the dots stay (almost) exactly on top of each other.

I do not want to fight with you but in the quote that i refer to it says explicitly that the users are not forced to use the sign up process. They are free to download their content the old way and turn off the internet completely.
I do not opose to your position (or critisism) towards constant online connection. I try to point out that this is only one of two options and the user has the freedom to choose.

Thanks for your feedback on the reg/store content sync. Last thing we want is for this to be viewed negatively, we just thought it was a nice convenient feature. We’ve decided to make the change that if you sign out any store content you have installed will remain (we’ll actually give an option if you want to clear it or keep it). So if you would prefer to be signed out you can without having to manually install the kits    This change will be in the next beta.

I  recieve some designs, in dxf format, be intrested to know how others prepare thier DXF files for import into Affinity Designer. It would be nice if Affinity Designer was able to read in a DXF file export from Autocad or other applications that produce them.  Also if a DWG file could be imported, though I understand that there maybe licensing issues for DWG.
