My dream: to draw with the frame text tool a rectangle, that is automatically a curve (and can therefore be changed with the node tool, if desired).

Can I ask what it is you are drawing that needs this? Designer is intended for illustration and user-interface design, and Publisher is intended for posters, leaflets and books. I appreciate Publisher isn't available yet, so people are using Designer for things which Publisher would be better for.

As it happens, you can achieve the effect you want in Designer, by creating a text frame that is a rectangle with a bite taken out of it, but it's a bit clumsy.

    Hi Dave, hi Petar,

I’m not a professional user, it’s my hobby.

Your tip „creating a text frame that is a rectangle with a bite taken out of it“ solves my problem completely.
I draw a rectangle (or other forms), convert it to curves, convert it to a text frame, fill it with text, and with the node tool I can create various forms (adding further nodes, too). The text will follow automatically the form. WONDERFUL.

AD is a very powerful tool. Therefore I would like to have an extra manual as pdf, to learn more about it. The videos are very good, but a manual would complement this very well.

    supplementary question:
What means "0 warning points" under my picture?

    Hi Petar,
you are not allone. I tried your file. I added again a new layer and inserted several diverse simple elements (rectangle, circle, text). Each is automatical inserted into the locked layer.
This is probably a major bug.

Please enable other angels in the guidesmanager for helplines than horizontal or vertical.
I often use varous angles for helplines in CorelDraw. In CorelDraw you can alter the angle when you click on the helpline - then you get "helping arrows" to change the angle. This is great feature.
