KoBu got a reaction from eclecticthis in ADwin: Variable text frame with nodes
My dream: to draw with the frame text tool a rectangle, that is automatically a curve (and can therefore be changed with the node tool, if desired).

KoBu got a reaction from hunterae in Let Text flow around an object
Hi Marc
I know your problem (I used CorelDraw earlier). Currently there is no possibility in AD. We have to wait for Affinity Publisher.
But you can try the following possibility for example (I do so). It is not exact, what you expect, but it can partially help.
I draw a rectangle (or other forms), then convert it to curves, then convert it to a text frame, fill it with text, and with the node tool I can create various forms (adding further nodes, too). The text will follow automatically the form.

KoBu reacted to Alfred in Faulty instructions for adding free macros to Affinity Photo 1.5
The download instructions for the free macro pack say "Just click the download button to get your free macro pack. To install, open the .afmacros file or alternatively import from your Library panel." If I try to open a .afmacros file, I get a 'Failed to open file' dialog that tells me, "The file is not an Affinity document."

Please add this feature! Masking is really difficult without it.

Please add this feature in a future update, even if it's defaulted off, allow us to toggle it on in the preferences.

KoBu got a reaction from Nada in Afphoto data backup from iPad to another medium
Is there a way to backup all afphoto files (created with the iPad) in one go from the iPad to another medium? Securing each file individually would be a possibility but is more cumbersome.

KoBu got a reaction from Muffins in Managing .afphoto files inside the iPad app
I have the same problem (look at my post: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/42498-afphoto-data-backup-from-ipad-to-another-medium/).
My afphoto-files are between 20 to 400 MB (!). The proposal to use the cloud für uploads, is for me not the right option. My download speed ist sufficient, but my upload speed is very very slow (the upload of a single bigger file can take an hour or more). Therefore I transfer bigger files from my iPad via PhotoSync or PhotoTransferApp to my PC (or vice versa). But to afphoto-files I have unfortunately no access.
I hope that this problem can be solved in the near future.

KoBu got a reaction from Robert Petras in Affinity Photo for iPad launched at Apple WWDC
Congratulation for the very great program.
I would not want to miss Affinity Photo on my 12.9" iPad Pro anymore. I have transferred my image processing from the PC mostly to the iPad. Sitting on the couch and retouching pictures is a great pleasure for me. However, you have to get used to the new user interface. But the tutorials help a lot.
Best regards to the developer team

KoBu reacted to ve2cjw in Affinity Photo pdf manual for your enjoyment.
I have produced a pdf version of the Affinity Photo manual that you can read without starting the program. It can be interesting to put it on your phone or tablet to read when you have some time to spare. Since the file is too big to upload here, I have put it on Dropbox for you to download. It is current for the last version of Affinity Photo. Comments welcomed. Here is the link:

KoBu reacted to MEB in APwin „New from clipboard“ selection with strange behaviour
Hi KoBu,
That's because the layer you're copying the selection from (in the second case) is an (Image) layer type. You can check this looking at the label between parenthesis after the layer's name if there's one. Right-click on it in the Layers panel first and select Rasterise... from the contextual menu to convert it to a (Pixel) layer type. Then you can select and copy just the selected part to a new layer. Only Pixel layer's type lets you edit them at a pixel level. (Image) layer's type are considered objects and can only be transformed globally (scale, rotate, skew etc) but you cannot change their content (pixels).

KoBu got a reaction from Chris B in Ecken abrunden
Hi Cat-Cat

KoBu got a reaction from Alfred in Using brushes as stroke is not full, is it an error or original?
Hi Malozaibi
In the meantime (until affinity says something) one method to avoid the gap is to draw the ellipse or the rectangle, apply the brush, convert it to curves, then break the curve with the node tool (if necessary one has to correct the nodes with the node tool).

KoBu reacted to Andy Somerfield in Affinity Photo Ipad Feature Question
Hello guys,
Photo will be 1:1 feature compatible with the desktop version.. that is, unless anything goes wrong ;) We've got 80% of the features working already - and we don't anticipate anything going wrong with the remaining 20%.
It will, however, be a little while until we have anything to Test Flight - so it's best to sign up for the list and wait :)
Thanks,
Andy.
