That reads to me as, from v3 it’ll be different. 
 
I really really hope we don’t get any Canva crap to deal with and subscription stays away. I’m not that loyal. 
 
 

These were the full list of brush improvements made in v2 (which you may already have read)...
It would be a nice addition to be able to identify which vector brush was used for a particular stroke by having the brush auto-selected in the brushes panel when clicking the respective layer in the layers panel...

Firefly has no legal issues, because they trained their model on their own stock content. 
What I would like to see in Affinity Photo is "basic" AI stuff like upscaling, compression artefact removal etc. - not txt2img generation.

I think this is rather a response to the threadstarter...
It is good to know, though, that both options are there and easily accessible

Or one could provide a way to set the background for each collection/folder of assets individually to adapt to content that is not visible manually...

Mark, the release with the 'Photo' default does work fine in LightRoom 6.14. So, as long as the 'laucher' doesn't require any parameters I guess it works just fine. This means you should make 3 of these things like that. Please think about some naming convention too (:-)) (e.g. AFPhotoLauncher, AFDesignerLauncher and AFPublisherLauncher or so). Thanks for this !

I'm not from Serif but I wasn't promised a lifetime of updates with my purchase so I believe you may be remembering this incorrectly. I believe they sold me a lifetime license, not a promise of lifetime update. i.e., I can use the license for as long as I want without paying for a subscription like the other company charges.

While I do not miss a DAM function built in in the Affinity apps, I do miss thumbnails to discern the open files, esp. when there are many of them. The way GIMP and others do this, for example: in addition to the filename showing a thumbnail on the tab. fontba.se is one of the best font managers out there right now for Windows. It features the autoactivation and -deactivation of fonts with Adobe products. Meaning: if you load a file, any missing font that is available will automatically be activated, and after closing the file will get deactivated. That way a lot of clutter in the list of fonts can be avoided, while there is no need to go and manually activate fonts or keep them active for a good workflow.
Man fontba.se users who have switched from Adobe to Affinity have requested this feature and our voice has been heard at fontba.se. They do need the necessary information from Serif to get this working. That would be much appreciated by many happy Affinity-Users like me.

Then you can click safely.

I downgraded to 1.8.3 for now, as I had to finish some work...

It seems it was a DisplayFusion Update that made the difference... I checked what changed since yesterday and that was the only thing that installed this morning.
So for me it works now...
