Just installed the 7.2 beta. At first sight, the problem appears to have been solved. After opening the file, the resource manger mentioned a problem with a embedded pdf file (file changed outside). Replaced that file. Scrolling through the document did not crash Publisher. (Opening the file in the 7.1 program continues to crash when scrolling after opening). So will continu using the 7.2 beta and let you know if crashes occurs. Thx!

Another crash, after opening only scrolling the document, no other actions Update: when all grafics are embedded, no crash when scrolling. When grafics are linked, crash offen occurs during scrolling…. It also seems that when you wait after opening the "linked grafics" document (fi. 3 minutes) you can scroll, even fast, without crash... After reopening the file and only scrolling, nothing else, it happened again (see dmp file attached). Again i reopend the file and slowly scrolled through the document, no crash occured. Would like to know, if possible, what's causing the crash...? 608cbc2e-1fa9-4335-a9aa-91b7e35d156f.dmp

Ooops, happened again, with crash report. Reopening Publisher did not offer me a recovery file. What i had done immideate before the crash: I had moved a linked image to another map on my computer and then replaced this image in the resource manager. Thx Jon, i will do so. For the moment no new crashes - keep fingers crossed - I have also automatic sending crash reports enabled.

Here also, a document with 400 A4 pages, only 30 are populated with text and linked pictures. When typing fi. a sentence, you have to wait a second or 2 to complete this sentence on the screen. But I love the way Publisher is set up, and connect with photo and designer... So keep up the good work. BTW i have activated automatic sending of crash reports

Jon, the crash is random and has occured a few times (4 or 5 times) during scrolling. One time, after reopening, i was asked to recover, the other times no recovery was offered. First i thought it could be a specific page when scrolling, but it's not the case. I can scroll through the document without a crash most of the times?

When double clicking the mid handleof a textframe, you would expect the frame is fitting the inside tekst. You can do this at the botom or at the side of a textframe (the last is not mentioned in het help-file). Sometimes, and it is not replicable, it enlarges the textframe when clicking this side-mid-handle. You have to drag the textframe-side to another position to make the double clicking work again.

This has also happened to me a few times, not when making a keystroke but during scrolling the document (450 pages A4 , only 30 page are filled with text and linked pictures).

The behavior is unpredictable. Most of the times it works as aspected, then suddenly it does't. When you stay on the tab assets it stops working until you switch to another tab, f.i. pages, then switch back to the tab assets and the behavior is again as aspected... I'm dragging the assets on the page, you see the "drag" icon. Also when it does't work as expected you see the "drag" icon. If it's not working as it should, it does't matter witch asset you drag, it wil not appear on the page.

When exporting my document, setup as facing A4 pages, to pdf with the option: area set to "all pages" an error occured. Exporting to "all spreads" works fine.

When dragging an asset into a publication, most of the time the asset is placed in the document. Sometimes the asset isn't placed. I don't know why and i can not predict this unwanted behavior.

When you want to relocate a missing file, clicking on the locate button doesn't do anything in the resource manager. I'm working in Windows 10, 1903 update

When you have filled an object with a global color, then deselect it, switch to the swatches 'this document', reselecting the object: the global fill color is not always indicated in the swatches "this document" panel, sometimes you can see a box arround the used color, sometimes you don't see this indicator.

When i apply levels, i often use the Alt key to see when clipping ocurres. Sometimes, when i release the alt key, the picture is not shown, the clipping colors stays on the screen. Restarting Photo is needed to see the picture again. When using big brushes ( eg 3000 px wide), the picture redraw becomes very unreponsive. But loving the app... Used on a surface pro 4

Windows 8.1, Designer 1.5.0.6 When i export selected objects to EPS without background everthing seems fine. When i export the same drawing with layer-effects (fi glow) applied, the EPS export without background is incorrect. Part of the background is white and not transparent. Keep up the good work, i love affinity designer

Thanks for the answers, Concerning the Help crash, I'm using the windows key + Arrow up. Moving the help window to the top of the screen doesn't maximize the window (bug?) Also moving Designer windows from one screen to another with the windows key and arrows doesn' t always respond as i expected. Fi. moving a window to the 2de screen using the "windows + shift + Arrow left/right" key doesn't work. You have to move the windows to the other screen (dragging or using windows + Arrow keys) before you can maximize it on the other screen. Cheers

Hi there, I'm working with a dual monitor setup(1920 x 1200 on HP 650 and Samsung 1920 x 1080), windows 8.1, Designer 1.5.0.05. I've experienced following (possible) problems: When using help on the second monitor and maximize this help window, designer is crashing with a fatal error. An error report is send. Wneh i re-open designer ther is no option to restore the previous file. When using the help window not maximized, everthing works as expected. When using dashed strokes, this is only possible when no pressure-profile is used on the selected line. Perhaps this is intended but it would be nice to dash a pressure sensitive line. When exporting a selected drawing to PNG without a backgroud, a white background (no tranparency) is applied in this png file. When exporting tot EPS without background everthing is as expected. Keep up the good work, i like affintity designer!

After starting up (control pressed) i cleared all settings to default. At first sight, things work more as intendent. However, sometimes i have to choose a color first from the inner rectangle (hsl tab). Choosing the first color from the outer circle won't apply the color. After choosen a first color, changing the color works perfectly (regardless where i pcik the color from). Thanks for your feedback

The attached gif describes just wat i do. Only i can get no colorfill produced until i change the grays option into colors (swatches tab, recent)
