  1. Is this 3d painting development still happening. Would be very interested in testing out if it is. Or has it now been binned or shelved?
  2. Not sure exactly, maybe there's a blend mode that does the same thing. If not, the only way is to un - group and then re - group. Not so good if you have heaps of layers.
  3. Ok, I have a question. When exporting via export persona, is the pop up with slices and png etc. supposed to always pop up so you can tick off / on which elements you want to export? I am having occasions when this does not happen, often when re -exporting the same file with small export setting changes. Just wondering if that is normal or perhaps there is a problem. The files do export though, so not sure. Edit: Also, if you do make some export setting adjustments, do you have to re - do all the slices for the change to take effect? If so this is not ideal.
  4. Hi all! So i been doodling about with the Windows beta of AD, haven't had the pleasure of using the Mac version before. Anyway I am really liking Affinity Designer so far and have been trying to think of what to make testing stuff out and what not, so I thought why not offer some encouragement to the dev's in the process. All made with AD, aside for the card / paper BG which is a procedural made with Substance Designer (don't know how to that sort of thing with AD yet). I'm quite new to vector art and of course AD, so critique good or bad is welcome..... Well apart from the fact that I appear to be sucking up to Serif that is. :D Its supposed to be a bit tongue in cheek,... but the sentiment is real :) .
  5. Hi Chris, I captured a short vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7tDYDWpHsc. Didn't actually catch the mouse pointer that time, but you can see there is some unexpected things happening when changing tools and brush's. Especially towards the end, it started painting with a different brush as to what was selected. System specs: Windows Pro 64 Intel® Core i7-5930K CPU @ 3.5 GHz 32 GB ram Nvidia 980ti
  6. Hi, I'm a complete newbie to Affinity Designer and Serif for that matter, so maybe this is not a bug. Using the Burn Brush Tool in the pixel persona, it doesn't have a representation of the brush like all the other brush's. There is just mouse pointer. Really liking AD and stoked that its is now available for windows. Thanks. Edit: Ok, that's weird . Its working now, but it definitely wasn't. Maybe windows funkiness when I was flicking back and forth from web page's following tut's. Sorry please disregard. Edit 2: Disregard that disregard. It is a custom brush that this is happening too. Comparing the brush settings with other brush's it works fine with, I can't see why it would be doing this. Edit 3: Ok its working again now. However, often times when switching between tools the brush is being represented as a simple round solid brush when it isn't actually that shape and this is for other brush's also. Can only say that there some inconsistent behaviour going on with this tools indicator.
  7. Yes, 3d looks good colour wise. Have to say 3d effect is a very nice tool after having a closer look at all the options and tweak's. :)
  8. Yes agreed and I understand, drawing quick short strokes quicker than it takes to get going properly is no good. Just saying that longer strokes, once it has started seem ok. :)
  9. Yes have noticed also. Using Intuos Pro. Start of stroke there is lag to get it going. Once stroke is started seems not too bad.
  10. Yes I have noticed this also. 1 thing about it too, is that the subdivision / resolution of the graphic is dependant on zoom level in the view port. Zooming in will improve the appearance, but yes softening without effecting the edges, not sure its possible. SAME SHAPE AT DIFFERENT ZOOM Have tried looking at preferences but can't find anything that will increase resolution. Maybe someone with more experience with AD can help. Have said that, it is still possible to soften and then add a circle over the top in the centre to keep the sharp edge of the centre, but granted, it is more steps and there is still some desaturation of the bevel.
  11. Was thinking the same, but I do believe it is working. Well it is for me anyway. At first the difference between soft and hard pressure didn't show very much difference when first tried on default settings, hardly noticable. Since adjusting the size variance to 100% and changing the profile curve to linear its a lot better.
