Hello Masters of Graphics Tools!!! I'm still amazed with all features of AFP!!! Very good, excellent work guys!!! I have found two issues to verify... 1) When we create a New Document, changing DImensions doesn't change the Page Preset to Custom (like occurs in AFD/AFP); and 2) After create a New Document, when we choose Document Setup there isn't Dimensions Tab (like occurs in AFD/AFP - Maybe will be implemented later...). That's it. For now... PS.: Can I buy yet??? (kkkkkkkkkkk) If I can, I will!!!

Two main reasons (of many others) my friend ( For me and only me, ok!!! ). First: AD if far more intuitive and easy to work then CD. I can do things two or three times easier and faster in AD/AP. Second: CD is US$705,00 (Full License) or U$265,00 (12 Months Plan)...

Hi everybody!!! Well...Here in Brazil, as far as I know, CorelDRAW has a lot more users then Illustrator. Every single designer, print house, graphic worker use CorelDRAW. They can use Illustrator, InDesign, Xara, QuarkXpress, Sketch, you name it, but all they will use CorelDRAW also. I'm CorelDRAW user since version 10 (I think the year was 2000/2001...) and I'm migrating all my old jobs to AD. And the new ones I'm using only AD instead. But that's a long road to AD on this Brazilian market... migrating from one software to another (to work professionally) is not an easy decision and making. The learning curve is only one of the problems. PDF exchange can solve most of the problems, but not all. So, just to think, if I could open all my .CDR and start working from that...professionally...it would be nice. Really nice. I made my decision and I will drop all software I used to work with (until the license permits) and I'll use only AD and AF from now. but it's me... But for most of people that use CorelDRAW, if they could open and work on their files natively, will be mutch more appealling.

I think this is a little bug... Is it? The Style combobox appears always in the language of OS. My OS language is Portuguese (PT-BR), but I prefer to use AD in English. I have changed at Preferences >> General >> Language >> English (United Kingdom), restarted AD, but Styles still appears in Portuguese.

I think it's a "Draw Persona" side effect... Try do draw with "Pixel Persona" selected. The exported PDF will be ok. Another aspect to consider when exporting to PDF format, is the quality and file size. When exporting, if you choose the preset "for web", the file size is smaller, but the quality of PDF is less accurate (pixelized). When you choose "for export" and "for print" the quality is mutch better, but the file size will be bigger too. I hope this could help.

Try to draw with "Pixel Persona" selected. The exported PDF will be ok. I was testing PDF exporting, and I think that is another aspect to consider when exporting PDF, that is the quality you want for exported file. I'm back just to tell this... If AD could be purchased right now, I will buy it!!! (Like I bought Serif's Draw, Page and Web Plus before...) I'm very satisfied with speed, results and easy of use of all tools AD provide together. Everithing I'm trying is working perfectly!!! Congratulations for this wonderfull software you are developing. Just to know... I'm using other vector tools for the last 10 years. For testing purposes, I made various previous works and the easy and accuracy of AD is amazing and very superior of those!!! Everything simple works!!! and works fast!!! Congratulations again!!! A very satisfied Beta Tester.

I have the same problem. I unistall and reinstall, but doesn't work. Stop and freeze at welcome screen. I reinstall 1.5.0.4 and it's working.

Hi People, I'm using version 1.5.0.4 and It's amazing !!! But I have some problems with special characters in pt-br (Brazilian). Some combinations doesn't work well. Example: "~" + "ao" should be ão, but shows like ~ao or ~ão Occurs the same with "^", "´" and "`". But, when I write on Textpad/Notepad and copy/paste into AD, all shows ok. Thats it. I'm back to say that the problem is solved. What I've done before: - Uninstalled and reinstalled Affinity Designer Public Beta - Uninstalled and reinstalled VC++ 2015 - Uninstalled and reinstalled .NET Framework 4.6.1 So... none of this procedures works... So I make a more wide and deep uninstalling procedure... and the problem solved!!! 1) Uninstalled Affinity Designer Public Beta 2) Uninstalled VC++ 2015 3) Uninstalled .NET Framework 4.6.1 4) Cleaned Windows (I used Piriform CCLeaner, works for me) 5) Reboot Windows 6) Reinstalled VC++2015 7) Reinstalled .NET Framework 4.6.1 8) Reinstalled Affinity Designer Public Beta (only for precaution, in a brand new directory name - C:\Program Files\ADPB...) And...Works !!! PS.: In my research I found that the " AppHangB1" problem occurs with lots of software, and the solutions is to update/reinstall VC++ and .NET Framework. Now Affinity Designer is running blazing fast !!!

I have the very same problem... Affinity Designer frozen at Welcome Screen. Install process was fine. Two times. My OS Windows 7 SP1. - VC_++ Installed and updated (all version 2005/2008/2010/2012/2013/2015). - .NET 4.6.1 installed (can't install older version 4.5.2) - Unistalled and installed again.
