Hokusai got a reaction from DesignerMim by Miriam in Tribute to the Aztecs
Thought I'd share a project that I have been working on. I have always been fascinated with Meso-American cultures and their art and after reading Jo-Jo's Bizarre Adventures I couldn't help but make my own version. Oddly Matt Groening's work reminds me a lot of Aztec art but maybe that's just me. I made it using Affinity Designer and all vectors. Thanks for taking the time to view my work and I hope that you enjoy it.

Thanks for trying Matt. I just gave a try of my test file in the RC1 and it didn't do what it had done in an earlier version. So we will hope everything on this is over. As Hokusai said we do appreciate all the team's hard work.

@Hokusai - I have managed to reproduce and fix the issue you clearly show - thank you!
@Gear maker - I can't find a good reason for the behaviour you've experienced, but I think it's not unreasonable to assume that something was amiss at some point during the early betas and is hopefully resolved now. Please do let me know if you see anything further though

Hokusai, your issue is different, but does look related as it does for stroke what mine was doing for both stroke and fill. As expected I was able to reproduce your issue in the beta but not in MAS. Thanks maybe this will point to the problem.

Hokusai reacted to dominik in Linux support
Hello @Bog and welcome to the forum.
Since you are new here you may not have noticed that there is an extensive and constantly active discussion about Linux support over at the Affinity Suite forum. There alone are more than three threads with currently 56, 32 and 14 pages of discussion (a total of almost 2500 postings). I kindly suggest you (and anyone else) to join the discussion over there instead of continuing this thread in this forum here.
You find these here:

Cheers,
d.

Hokusai reacted to JET_Affinity in Can the Affinity range of products really be called 'pro'? I say no...
Right again. So-called 'enterprise' applications (ERP, PLM, etc., some costing a company literal millions of dollars) are commonly just very vertical-market targeted solutions built by relatively tiny companies. Yes, they are typically built upon a robust database development platform but nonetheless commonly have cumbersome 1980s-era interfaces that constrain users to inflexible, clunky, even non-standard tedium that doesn't come close to the modernity of products built by developers of mainstream, blister-packed, over-the-counter software. That's why so-called 'middleware' is a growing segment. 'Enterprise' applications have high cost largely because they are vertical-market, not necessarily because they are of 'professional' quality.
No, Affinity does not yet have every tit-for-tat feature for every other application in its competitive segment. The inverse is also already true, and the competitive differences exist and will continue to narrow, just as they always have, even before Affinity came on the scene. But Serif seems to be doing well and has had a significant impact with a modern pricing model, while competitors still cling desperately to outdated over-pricing based mostly on mere brand recognition.

Hokusai got a reaction from Boldlinedesign in Add Illustrator export option
Hi Federico,
Welcome to the forums. This has been requested before in the past but the developers have stated that they can't add the Illustrator export option unless they reverse engineer it and they wouldn't be doing that as they feel it isn't right. So as Psenda suggested, why not use PDF? I rarely use Illustrator anymore but when I do, I use PDF's to get things that I've done in Designer into Illustrator and I haven't had any issues so far.
Best of luck,
Hokusai
