  1. Upgraded to Catalina yesterday, and I'm having the same problem as @gripp. "Edit in Affinity Photo" no longer works. Edit With -> Affinity Photo doesn't either.
  2. I love Affinity Photo/Designer, but there is one behavior that frustrates me every single day. When I select a layer, then apply an adjustment, Affinity automatically changes the layer selection to the new adjustment layer. I then try to work with the image again, and nothing visible happens. I then realize my layer is no longer selected, so I have to go manually select it again before I can continue. It gets me every time. I've searched for some setting to turn off this automatic layer change, but haven't found anything. Is it possible?
  3. I do see significantly better performance when I disable Metal Compute and select OpenGL for display. A few operations are still notably slower than 1.6.7, such as Refine Selection, which is *very* slow now. General usability is at least acceptable now, though.
  4. @cjc3636 Clearly my backup strategy needs work. I just have a nightly clone running, so my backup sadly already has 1.7.0
  5. Big slowdown for me as well with 1.7. My system is rather old, but it worked fine with 1.6.7 (and all previous versions). Somewhat counter-intuitively, performance improves when I disable Metal hardware acceleration. It still feels slower than before, but at least it's usable. I wish I could downgrade until this is addressed, but Mac App Store doesn't seem to allow downloading older versions
  6. In Photo 1.7.0 (App Store version), the levels+curves tools always show the histogram for the entire document, not for the selected area being affected. I can compare with the document-level histogram tool by clicking the "marquee" option. I have tested both HEIC and JPG files with the same result.
