Needing to click twice on a title to get to a thread, is only effecting me using landscape view on the ipad with iOS 13.1, along with the issue of not seeing anyones thumbnail profile as well on the landscape view, has got to be a website issue. Apples new OS setup is by design and im happy with Patricks reply about the issue and that it may be corrected.

There is an Erase brush tool in The Pixel persona in Affinity Designer but only works on pixel brushes not vector, if you do use the eraser on vector it will be converted to a mask effect.

Yes, installed the update last night. Ok, the problem is only in landscape mode, one click just highlights the title and need to click again to get into the thread.

This is happening for me too on my ipad with new the iOS 13, it annoying, need to click on the thread title twice to get it to open or the pop out conversation.

I noticed this too in the ipads File app, my Affinity saved docs are blank with just the file size, to get the Affinity saves to open you have to drag it over to the right side, it enlarges and opens in the program.

Does the wet edges setting with force pressure help? Your probably looking for some type of live brush that simulates a realistic paint effect, might be worth posting in feature requests and adding an interest in getting that kind of brush added.

Hi, Have you tried changing the Accumulation setting to Cyclic with the opacity setting reduced a bit, I set accumulation to about 50% and opacity 75%. There isn’t the Airbrush mode in Affinity so it’s a matter of just playing around with brush settings.

Make sure that there is colour in your line fill when you switch from Vector to Pixel persona to paint, it might look white but it’s probably empty and you need to select a colour first before you start painting.

Hi chris There is a a small eyedropper in the corner of the colour settings box for the outline settings, you can drag it over to sample colours but you will then need to click on the well next to it to activate the colour to use it.

Hi, when you use the eyedropper from the side tools panel, it should automatically change the colour of the selected text, make sure you have: Apply to Selection ticked and source from Global. To change the colours within the FX settings you need to click on the colour box and sample and change the settings there (including using any swatches you've saved)

Looks like the red shape is clipped to the green text and the Twirl Live filter is being used on the layer with red shape.

Reducing the spacing to 1% fixes the jagged look to basic brushes for me, i wonder if it was a mistake that they are set like that?

I use the Backspace key to delete a selection in Affinity Designer.

Hi, On the main start up page that has the Samples and tutorials, there is a question mark at the top/right corner, this has all the Affinity Help categories and helpful photos. You can also click on the ? Sign in the program and this will highlight all the tools/studios and persona’s. Most things are there from desktop, just different icons, more studios, a persona for selection and the context toolbar that appears along the bottom and expands with an arrow to show more options.

Ctr+C and Ctr+V still do the same thing in Affinity as Photoshop and every new software has a learning curve. why not checkout the help support within the program? And the list of keyboard shortcuts in preferences. I'm just a member being helpful, have nothing to do with Serif, contact them for a refund if you're not happy.

Hi, maybe this tutorial might be more help? Affinity Photo-Channels But Affinity Photo isn't Photoshop and never set out to be, if you are used to that program and on a budget try PSE.

Yes, the textured vector brushes that are just a pixel/raster image dragged along a vector path. How would you save the pencil settings as a brush? The pressure settings when you create a new solid brush work differently, one node effects the middle and the other, both ends.

The pencil seems to draw smoother if you set it with more nodes, thankfully you can save it as a preset and the Stabiliser setting in Rope mode helps. I did only a few flourishes and grouped, duplicated, clipped them to the letter to form the shape, very rough go at it:

Hi, You can’t create true vector brushes in Affinity, they are pixel brushes along a vector path but no matter which way you choose to create the effect, it would be time consuming no matter what but I feel like the effect could be done quicker tho with grouped vector shapes duplicated. I usually don't take a youtube tutorial as gospel on how to do things a certain way.
