lettergothic got a reaction from Dan C in PDF Import Problem
Dan, Walt, Seneca et al,
Thanks for your patience.
I FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK!!! OMG!
The problem appears to have been my not understanding that it is necessary to hold down "shift" while clicking the "place" tool. Thank you for clarifying that. I've tried it multiple times now and both pages flow in as desired! Such a tiny thing turned out to be the linchpin of the entire operation.
Thanks again to everyone.
Until next time...

lettergothic got a reaction from Alfred in show "invisibles"
Thanks, Alfred and Dan C.
What a drag that the code wasn't just put into designer as well. . . I do a lot of single-sheet jobs that are text-heavy.

lettergothic got a reaction from G13RL in Inset Path Tool
G13RL,
Thanks very much for responding Your solution looks like it ticks all the boxes! I'll be trying it right away. Thanks for the diagram. This looks like a alternate way to achieve my goal. Now, all I need is for Affinty to implement a simple, 1-click solution for this.

v_kyr,
Thanks for responding.
One layer only; no other selections made. It's frustrating . . .
Thanks, anyway,

lettergothic got a reaction from jboer in No column Grid?
It *is* absolutely necessary for professional designers. A page grid, as shown by 3joern is so fundamental that it's hard to understand how this was not recognized and "baked in".

lettergothic got a reaction from Jowday in offset tool/capability in Designer
Please add an offset path tool/capability in AD and Publisher to inset a second, stroked path inside an irregularly shaped object. This is invaluable for logo creation.

lettergothic got a reaction from Roger C in enlarge Pantone swatches viewer
Hi,
In the Pantone swatches panel, I've already set the list to "large(!)" but it's much easier and more efficient to evaluate and select colors with a significantly larger swatch display. How do i enlarge the Pantone swatch display to, say, screen size? I do this every day in Quark. FWIW, my vision is fine.
thanks,
David
