  1. Why can't we rename layers while in the export persona?

We are able to rename the slices in the export persona, but not the layer itself. The slices in the export persona inherit the name of the layer. So in order to achieve consistency, we have to click to the non-export personas, find and select our layers, rename them, then go back into the export persona to see our correctly names layers and thus slices.

It makes no sense that the user cannot edit the names of layers in the export persona, it only adds friction to the user experience. Thanks for reading, have a great day.

  2. Hello, I'm making a slice of a circle with an icon inside of it, the problem is when I try to export the slice, it only shows the circle layer, it does not show the contents on top of the circle. What am I doing wrong? I can't seem to have the contents inside the circle show as being exported with the slice. How do I just have everything inside of the slice export?

    Thanks

  3. Hello, maybe I'm just doing something wrong? I have my Affinity document set up to use Pixels as units. The drawing is 580px wide exactly. I copy everything and paste it in photoshop as curves, yet it's pasted at 154px (100%). If I scale the image to make it 580px, there is some white , jagged-fraying on the edges of the curves and it looks like crap. What am I doing wrong? Why aren't the programs 1 to 1 with each other?

    Thanks

  4. In photoshop we have the 'info' pane, which tells you the X Y coordinates of your cursor position. We don't have this in affinity, and we also have a less accurate (more sparsely labeled) ruler to make matters worse. Additionally, there is no ruler tool to measure things. This makes it extremely difficult to make precise changes especially for corporate and web design work.

It's starting to seem like Affinity is better suited for freeform graphics rather than precision.

    Please add these features.

  5. I have a document with some embedded icons with multiple colors. The document is a web page. The icons are inside of this web page. I have global colors for the web page document. When I open the embedded document by double clicking it, I don't see my global colors from the 'web page' document. Since I am experimenting with the colors as a whole, changing them all at once, it does not make sense to 'export' the colors from the web page document, just to use them in the embedded document to get the colors in there, as they will change. It seems counter intuitive to have to open this embedded document and not have my global colors from the web page document available to make changes. I should be able to edit the global color and have it effect the colors on the web page document and the embedded document. How can I do this?
