Well, it doesn't really make sense in english but I thought I would post it anyway and wish you all a merry Christmas at the same time.
 
The text on the illustration is from a danish Christmas song about "Søren Banjomus" (a mouse with a banjo named Søren) and the chorus goes: "Skille-ma-dinke-dinke-du..."(which doesn't really mean anything). When my son was younger it sounded like "Skille-ma-dinke-skinke-due"
 
Skinke = ham and due = pigeon, and that word got stuck in my head. Yesterday the Christmas spirit hit me and transformed into this illustration :)

First of all: Affinity Photo is such a great piece of software. I really have learned to love it in a short time. So, I think I will stick to it from now on for two reasons: first is my photography hobby and my second is my illustration hobby / work. I can do same things in Affinity Photo as I have done in Photoshop and I like every part of it. I must say!
 
One other thing that I discovered yesterday was the truly excellent presentation of Affinity Photo and all the funktionalitets in the software on Vimeo. I mean, those videos are top quality pedagogic presentations of complex issues made easy (at least for me). The simple, clear, great voice over presentations in short or long enough videos are so easy to follow and I hear and understand every bit of it. I have great experience of the male voice over, it is really top quality in every respect; speed, phrasing, prononciation, pausing... I love it.
 
I have been teaching for 40 years and I have very critical eyes and ears on visual presentations. But your presentations are GOOD!

Hi Tro,

You've designed your document using RGB 32bit colours, however you're exporting to an 8bit file format which is why you're seeing the big difference. It would be advisable to use RGB 8-bit for websites.

Looks cool. Like the sparse feel to it and the use of noise. Nice! Sure the wee astronaut man could be a wee bit rounder or tweaked a bit but it still looks okay.

So, as I've previously mentioned, I've been on a quest to replace Adobe products in my workflow.  I've been a proud owner of Affinity Photo and Designer since last year, but was still using Photoshop, Lightroom, etc...  Well, with my subscription finally ending, and choosing not to renew, I wanted to really push A-Photo into my workflow permanently.
 
I chose a specific YouTube tutorial where the artist used Photoshop (uses Photoshop for all tutorials), and recreated the image using A-Photo.  For the most part, A-Photo and Photoshop went tik for tak on tools and layer properties.  Where there were differences, I was able to find suitable workarounds in A-Photo to achieve the action/look needed.  In the end, it's a no brainer for me.  Adobe products are no longer on my Mac, and I've never been happier.  I'm waiting for the next update like a child waiting for Christmas, and I'm really excited to see this great app evolve and improve.  Keep up the great work boys!  Oh, and please bring Luminosity Masks!
 
Image Specs:
The sky, ocean surface, ocean floor, fish, bear, children were all stock images.  The bubbles and water splashes were airbrushed.  Final color grading and vintage film effects were added using Nik Analog Efex Pro.

This should be the main character.
The plot is about an astronaut lost in a distant planet, but it is not finished yet... 
So I really don't know what he is supposed to do there... I guess he isn't too.  :)
 
Done in AD with the Pigmento set and sharpened a bit in AP to bump textures.

Is there any way to do that? I'd like to expand shadows and transform into a independent object, for example. I can't seem to find an way to do that...
