koehler reacted to hattie 44 in Vectorial copy paste to InDesign
I agree with Daniel Gibert here. I would love to get away from Illustrator and use Designer exclusively. Clients will give me pages of branded icons in pdf or illustrator format. I can paste and alter them in Indesign as I'm doing my layouts and it saves me a lot of time. Pasting as editable vector from Designer would be awesome.

koehler reacted to Sidk in Workspace customization improvements
Workspace customization is currently difficult and laborious.
Feature request 1: Workspace saving | Now if I want to save workspaces, they must be copied from system files. Also i hate to lose my workspace setup after updating software. 1.5, 1.6 and now 1.7.
Feature request 2: Workspace customization improvements | Now moving tool tabs and setting up custom workspace is very frustrating. Many times elements just can't snap into desired location or snapping area is very odd.
Feature request 3: Workspace reset to saved workspace

koehler got a reaction from Fixx in (Affinity DESIGNER) Copy & Paste to Adobe InDesign
It would be so great if it would be possible to copy and paste editable vectors to Adobe InDesign.
It works between Illustrator and InDesign – and even between Affinity Designer and Illustrator.
But not the most important way from Affinity Designer to InDesign.
The workflow for me and many Designers would be Creating Logos etc. in Affinity Designer and then making Brochures etc. in InDesgin.
It would be such an improvement if the Logo would be NATIVELY in InDesign – not imported as an uneditable EPS or PDF.
I hope someone from the developing team will be reading and understanding this :-)
THX for your GREAT work!!!

Any chances HKS and RAL spot/CMYK colour swatches are added?

Yeah i pretty much second that.
HKS and such is pretty much Key. I'm guessing you can import them yourself, but i'm currently trying to find out, how that would go. Since i'm here, i will say though, that managing your colors should be vital. I'm talking about ways to more easy set up your standard color swatches. For example: I would like to see a way to easily add CMYK based greyscales from 0% to 100% Key. We have the grey palette, but that is 1) not cmyk and 2) awkward to use, because i dont want to switch palettes all the time. No matter what work i do, i would want to have my greys always there, plus the colors i chose based on customer Corporate Design colors and such.
Well i guess its manageable with application and system palettes but it means i have to set up the cmyk greys myself for each of my clients, which is pretty time consuming.
