Turning on ‘Snap to Object Geometry’ in the snapping options should enable this in the next build.

Thanks for the excellent recipe to reproduce! This has been reported a few times, but I think we've got it now. Due to timing the fix won't make the very next build, but will be in the build after that.

But in the meantime we will continue to issue beta updates, and are very grateful for any feedback you may have.

It was a UI issue with the dialog, which could just fail to supply the right settings to the back end. I hope we've nailed it. Let us know if you have further problems.

Hi mykee, We've found and fixed a bug with hyphenation of words containing multi-byte characters (e.g. many characters with diacritics, Ü, ö, é etc). You should see this the next build. Please let us know if you are still having problems after that.

Ah I see - no, it's just a regular update to the public beta. In fact the filename hasn't changed since the first public beta, it's always been 'affinity-publisher-customer-beta'! We'll change it next time.

Should be fixed in the 58 update, which is available now. If not please let us know.

This is currently what we would expect - dropping an image into an opened document's view places the image in the document. Dropping an image anywhere else within the application main window opens the image as a document. I can see that dropping direct to the Pages Panel to drop onto a page or to create a new page might be cute, but it not currently a priority for us.

Hi ol4f, We've fixed the issue with the custom zoom and placement being lost when a picture frame is resized. This will be in the next build which is coming in the next few days. Please bear with us and try again when that is available.

Be aware you can change the Page after the PDF has been placed; if you select it the Page selection control is available on the Context Toolbar.

'Before' and 'after' are determined using the Z-Order (layer stack order) of the items on the page rather than their x / y locations, as this gives more flexibility and x / y is inherently ambiguous. Is it possible that the text boxes that you think are 'before' the TOC are actually after it in the layer stack?

Yes, you can do this, although we could probably make it easier because the Geometry options have been tucked away. First off, you need to be able to 'Combine Curves' so add the Geometry options to the Toolbar via View > Customise Toolbar. Now create your individual frames, using Pen Tool, Shapes whatever, select them all and 'Combine Curves'. The resulting polycurve can be converted to a Picture Frame via the Layer Menu and then populated as usual.

Hi - You can do this with the Transparency Tool on the main toolbar.

Please check out the bottom right combobox in the Position and Transform section of the Character Panel for synthesised Super / Subscript. We have chosen not to synthesise italic / bold - there is a lot more to creating for instance, a good quality italic than just applying a shear transform to the regular outlines.
