Hi BlueToffee, This is a bug that was introduced in Build 162 and was not picked up in testing, for which we apologise. It is high priority for us, we have a fix, and we will issue an update as soon as possible.

Hi mad99, We'd be grateful if you could check whether you have 'Save with Document History' turned on. If so, try turning it off. Any other information such as you trying to save to network shares or USB sticks would also be useful. Also, if the original document is already on disk and you are trying to open it and save over it then posting the document could be very useful. --- There is no problem with you downloading and using version 157, but please be aware because we always want people testing the latest version the betas do expire. Version 157 will expire early next week.

It looks like your styles have got mixed up and all of the text with your 'Body' style has a decoration applied - looks like the default 'Box' style, for what its worth. Is there any chance of getting your document?

After you have placed a PDF you should find the option on the context bar to select the desired page box - for example the ‘Bleed Box’ might include any bleed, the ‘Trim Box’ would not. Edit: Whoops, sorry, skimmed over the answer above!

Hi A_B_C, A Picture Frame can act as a parent clip object for any number of child objects just like any other Affinity object. In the case of Picture Frames though, one, and only one of those children can be flagged as the ‘content’ (this child object is indicated in Layers by the box with the diagonal cross in it). The object marked as content will scale according to the Picture Frame properties, the others will scale like child objects generally do, and in fact regular constraints can be applied to them. This allows you to, for example set up a frame with adornments, or maybe some kind of watermark. To add an object as a regular child you can drop it in the layers panel in the bottom third or so of the target parent. You can add as many children as you wish in this way. To add it as content you can drop it, again in the layers panel, in the centre, vertically of the parent. The object will obey the Picture Frame fitting rules and by default will be scaled to max fit the frame. If a child flagged as content already exists it will be replaced. This is equivalent to choosing ‘Replace Image’. So in your case, in the first instance when you created your picture frame we have chosen not to automatically make any existing children the content object. In fact, if we did, aside from the potential problem of choosing which child should become content, this would typically result in the child being scaled to fit the frame as it would have to obey the fitting rules. So, as the frame still has no special content object it is drawn with a diagonal cross. Then, in your second case, as populating the frame will only ever replace the content object and there isn’t one, the regular child is not removed and the content object is added.

This is correct. It is possible to set up per-language auto-correct lists, but all you are doing in Preferences is choosing which list you are editing. The list actually used is then determined by the spelling language in use when you enter text. I'm told that the User Interface localisation is progressing well and it may not be too long now before it is available.

Hi, Windows build 145 is <Link Removed>. Again it would be great if you could let us have your document that is failing to load. Please note build 145 will expire in the next week or so.

Whoops - I can see what's happened here. Switched in error to retrieve the 'diagnostic' names rather than the user friendly names. Should be a relatively easy fix for someone.

Hi, we are aware there is a problem with the auto-update patches and have had to take them down. It looks unlikely we will get this up and running before next week now, so we'd be grateful if you could use the manual download link at the top of the forum for the time being.

We will have this capability soon, hopefully in the next build. As MEB says, you can already apply multiple masters to a page.

It’s not a big deal, the tools have just been re-ordered, but thought it should be mentioned in the notes.

Hi StuartRc, The snapping and visibility for the column guides are tied together so if you make them invisible (via View > Show Column Guides) they won't be available for snap either. I don't believe there is a way to set up 'default guides' for a new document, you will find you always get a straight 4 columns initially.
