Many thanks for your continued feedback. --- Updates and Fixes Master Pages Due to the changes in Master Page functionality in this build we strongly suggest you backup any documents that are valuable to you before testing. It is now possible to edit the content of Master Page Text Frames and Picture Frames directly from a spread the master is applied to. By default, on editing, the content attribute for the item in question is automatically unlinked, but the other attributes and geometry remain locked. It is also possible to entirely lock the Master Page instance if desired, to prevent unintended content edits. Finally options are available to edit all attributes of Master Page items linked - the Master Page and any other pages it is applied to will be updated - or to edit all attributes unlinked - only the copy on the current spread will be updated. In both of these cases an information bar is displayed while the editing ‘mode’ is active. Text flow between frames on masters is honoured when the master is applied and it is possible to create text flow between frames that have come from masters. When auto-flowing text from a frame that comes from a master the text auto-flow will use the matching frame on subsequent pages that have the same master applied or insert new pages with the same master. Note that the previous default behaviour was to edit all attributes for all master items linked, but also to lock the Master Page instance in the layers panel. If dealing with an old document and the new functionality is desired the instance will need to be unlocked or the Master reapplied. Link to master page tutorial / video here Amalgamated Text > Insert Text from File and File > Place Text > Insert Text from File has been removed and File > Place should be used instead. The types of files available via File > Place depends on context, for example if a Text Frame is selected then text files will be made available. Performance (Win) Fix for system mis-reporting RAM on some systems leading to poor performance. - If 'RAM Usage Limit' in Preferences > Performance is set to 1024MB you may be experiencing this issue. If so please set the limit manually to a higher value (typically the amount of Physical RAM installed) or Ctrl-Run Up to reset settings. Menus and Studio (Mac) Fixed the spurious black tiles issue when switching between multiple documents (Win) Fix for redraw issues when dragging document windows between monitors on some monitor setups (Win) Fixed Show Bleed failing to work under some circumstances Fixed min / max size issue for some panels Added Tooltips to Page Navigation controls (Mac) Fixed Colour Panel tabbing issues (Mac) Fix for Pasting control characters into Find and Replace fields. Hi, Because we knew we would effectively be down for two weeks over the Christmas period we gave the last beta (206) an extended expiry time of 45 days, so it will expire round about 26th Jan. We hope to have a new build out in the next few days with some updates if you really are stuck. I know its not much help but my builds, Mac and Windows, are fine.

Hi JeroenK, If I'm understanding correctly, the problem may be that you have to be careful what you apply the wrap settings to - if you apply then to the masked object text will run around the object as though it was unmasked. If you apply the settings to the mask itself you should get what you want. If that doesn't help maybe you could give us some steps or a document which has the problem.

Hi Vince, welcome to the Affinity forums. Thanks for the report. This is a regression in the latest builds and we have a fix in the next update.

As far as I know it is a UI issue - after some editing the UI becomes out of sync with the actual document sections. So restarting the app and re-opening the document and then Section Manager to refresh everything may help. If not I guess you’ll need the fix in the next update unfortunately.

Hi, The context menu for a topic in the Index Panel includes a ‘Find in Document...’ command which should list occurrences of the topic in the document. Specific occurrences can then be included or excluded from the index. Note the ‘Find in Document’ command includes some word stemming support, so for instance a search for ‘find’ would turn up ‘find’, ‘finding’ etc.

Hi Steps, The export options are saved with the document when the document is exported. It looks like this happens even if they are not changed, which could be improved.

If you have cleared it, fair enough, but ideally we’d want the contents of your autosave directory which you would find here - %AppData%\Affinity\Publisher Beta\1.0\autosave. I think that’s about right, not best placed to double check right now, unfortunately! But we’d also need your original documents too as the autosave files are incremental changes from these. Note: I've split the rest of this discussion to here.

Hi ChrisHyb, Thank you for your posts. I take it you didn't move your afpub file in relation to your assets either? Is any network storage or removable media involved at all? I'll try some tests tomorrow with missing / moved linked images etc to make sure we're handling it all properly.
