It's only a problem if you wanted to revert to the previous beta for some reason, which of course we hope you don't (or in Uncle Mez's case, want to share a document with someone who hasn't yet updated). In general we don't guarantee loading in old versions anyway, it's just that with most of the recent incremental updates it has tended to be OK. Taking a backup before working with a new beta update can never be bad advice.

Hi Uncle Mez, We probably could have and should have avoided the 238 / 227 saving loading issue, but it was picked up late and since 227 will be as dead as disco in a couple of weeks anyhow, we decided to just roll with it. Sorry if it’s a pain.

Thanks. There will probably be a few of these while we adjust to get the translations laid out properly.

We’re hoping to distinguish between functional issues, which would be best logged with the dev team, and pure translation issues - e.g. labels still in English, incorrect translations and cosmetic layout issues, which would be logged with the translators.

You can place Hyperlinks on text or other items in your document and create anchors for them to target. You can also create hyperlinks to document pages or internet URLs etc. These hyperlinks will export to PDF, though be aware not all varieties of PDF support interactive features. This feature is mainly driven via the Menu, Text > Interactive and the Hyperlinks Panel, View > Studio > Hyperlinks. Hi William, Thank you for asking. There are currently no plans to bundle any fonts with Affinity Publisher at initial launch.

This is the main reason why the gutter width is not on the context bar.

Hi Dazmondo, I assume you mean the spot on X-1a output was converting to CMYK only when you had the multiply. If so it's what I would expect as the output has to be flattened.

Hi snugsound, Welcome to the Affinity forum. Publisher and Designer files are compatible but not upward compatible, so you can save / load / copy / paste between 1.7 Publisher beta and the 1.7 Designer beta, but not from the 1.7 Publisher / Designer betas to the 1.6 Designer release. I’m guessing this is what you are seeing.

Well not quite locked Hi Nana, That's correct, it is not possible to relink detached attributes of unlinked master page items. You would have to re-apply the master page. Feel free to make a suggestion in the suggestions forum if you feel that is a significant limitation.

Hi, It seems these crashes occur when 'Show Baseline Grids' is turned on. It looks like we'll have to issue an update as soon as we've worked out exactly what's going wrong.

In our model, and I believe Quark is similar, changing an object attribute causes it to become unlinked from the master version. Once unlinked, changes made to the attribute on the master will not be reflected. That's why we think you should have to explicitly choose to do this. As Patrick says though, further discussion on this topic should be moved to a separate thread.

Hi Petar, You can edit the content of Text and Picture Frames directly without taking any action. In addition the right click menu for the Layer in the Layers Panel can be used to switch between 'Edit Detached', 'Edit Linked', 'Edit Frame Content' and 'Lock'. Either 'Edit Detached', 'Edit Linked' will allow you to edit other attributes of the frame.
