  1. My research is convincing me that AF Photo may be a great for photo editing, it most likely is not a good choice for a sketch app. I'd like to hear if you feel differently.
  2. The Procreate folks tell me that "Document Storage on iCloud" does nothing. The setting is there to satisfy Apple's requirements. The files are stored inside the app.
  3. I will continue to say that if the app knows there's a problem, then show me where it is so I can fix it, or just ask if I want it to be fixed by the app. This should not be so hard.
  4. I found the issue. I copied my document, slowly deleted pages, and then saved, closed and reopened to see if the message was still there. On my last page there was one header that for some unknown reason was saying it was Avenir Medium, rather than Avenir with a weight of Medium. I have no idea how that could even happen.
  5. It's an Apple installed font. I have no other Avenir fonts
  6. Here's an example of typical text in my document. I have dimensions and quoted text. Dimensions need straight " marks, and the text needs curly “ quotes. I'm not sure there's a way to make a 100% accurate pref to handle this, but if there is, then It would be helpful. I made the changes you see here manually.
  7. I'm opening my AF Publisher document. There are embedded PDFs inside my Pub doc. Even so, my system has that font installed and active.
  8. I would like to see an option for flexible separators in the TOC separator drop down. I have the page number set to align on a centered tab at the right as you see. Small dots in a line would be nice to have between the topic and page number.
  9. I did now! I didn't realize that was a command when you mentioned it earlier. I found the offending text and fixed it. Thanks.
  10. Is there a way to find the overflowing text? I've looked, and every thing looks fine to me. I feel that if the app knows there's an issue and warns me, then it should be smart enough to show me.
  11. This font is installed on my system and working fine in other apps. Why am I getting this message when I open my document?
  12. What is this warning? How do I locate the overflowing text? I have nothing on the artboard outside of a page, at least nothing I can see.
  13. I tell it to update, it does not update. Most likely something I'm doing wrong, but it is confusing. I know the better way to update the style is to edit it. That does seem to work. Even so, I find this TOC Text Style business confusing. I think I will create a simple document and play around with it to try and learn how it works.
  14. This is quite a mess. I'm telling it to update, it does not. I assume this is something just not fully implemented yet in the beta.
  15. Like I said, it wasn't working, then it started working again.
  16. The tutorial video shows that by clicking the text overflow triangle a line appears to drag to another text frame so the two are linked together. All that happens when I click is the text frame is selected and all I can do is move that frame around on the page. Is there a setting I need to change? Maybe this is a bug. It just started working again.
  17. Actually, I see it works opposite of that. If the setting is not selected in prefs, then option scroll zooms. This may be a setting in my mouse, I don't know.
  18. I have my scroll wheel set to zoom. Please add the ability to hold down the option key and make it scroll to override the zoom.
  19. Nice! So once the storage is set to iCloud does that mean you can find them on your Mac's drive, convert them to JPGs (if needed), and then save them in Photos?
  20. How do you deal with backing up your work using Procreate?
  21. Anything Adobe scares me since they are always looking for me to pay a subscription fee. I like how Procreate looks, but I spoke with my cousin yesterday who uses it to draw her fabulous portraits, and she tells me there is no cloud integration. She has to manually email a copy to herself every time she wants to back up her work. I don't want to work that hard. I just want to draw! I'm doing more research. To continue this discussion here now may be inappropriate since it is no longer Affinity related. I see other options when I search for sketch app. Thanks for your input.
  22. I've been researching ways to add hyperlinks post production, and sadly there are no good ones. There are a few apps that can do this, but it appears they cost more than Publisher will (I assume). Even if possible, adding hyperlinks post Publisher is not acceptable since it will add more time to the workflow, and be a problem later if revisions need to be made. The lack of adding hyperlinks in Publisher has me concerned. I think we all realize that the print-on-paper industry is in decline and in the near future I believe it will not exist anymore. I'm already there; I receive no paper invoices or bills, I don't send letters or invoices in the mail, I haven't written a check in years, I haven't printed a photograph in years, I have a printer on my desk, but I print less than 100 pages a year. My Thrifty Cabinets woodworking plans I'm producing are for digital distribution only. To not include a hyperlink tool in the initial release of Publisher is going to cripple it greatly in my mind. I hate to bring this up, but being told it is something that will be included in the future is not acceptable. That's what we've been told about arrowheads on the ends of paths in AF Designer. It's been three years (I believe), and that basic functionality (my opinion) is still not included. I moved on and I produce my technical illustrations in another app now.
  23. Looking closer at these I think I need to go another route. I need an app that's really a "Sketch" type.
