  1. I recall hearing that Affinity was working on a Bridge alternative. Any update on when that front?
  2. I've reluctantly held off using AD mainly due to its lack of paths with arrowheads. OSX 10.12 killed my Illustrator CS 5.1, so I'm now converting my AI files to AD. That is working fine, actually great! Thanks. There's truly so much to like about AD, and now with V 1.5 and the inclusion of symbols, that's a huge improvement. I can see symbols will greatly help with my need for "Find and Replace." But as we all know, no arrowheads is a real productivity killer for those of us creating technical illustrations. Please make it a higher priority. Thanks again for a great app. $49.99 one time verses $20/month for AI... It's a no brainer!
  3. I agree. It's hard to see the difference and definition of the buttons. Old eyes!
  4. What settings would export the text? I can get the vectors to go through, but not text. FYI... I appreciate your fast replies to my questions. You have been very helpful as I transition from AI.
  5. I'm looking for a way to export from AD in a format that retains fonts and vectors (paths) so I can import that into Vectorworks 2017. Here are Vectorworks' import options:
  6. Ran into this problem again today. I really wish AD would retain the original object layer assignment after being grouped and then ungrouped. I use Vectorworks 2017, it works that way, and that is very nice for my workflow.
  7. I see that now, but that's not exactly what I want. I want the background lighter, and the buttons (settings) darker.
  8. I think I need, and so do many others, Affinity to add arrowhead options to the ends of paths. That's the best solution.
  9. I place a lot of arrowhead path callouts. I can't use ADF. Please direct me to the workaround with text path and I'll see if that works.
  10. I need find and replace text too, seriously, so not just arrowheads. I own CS 5, and when it comes time to do a drawing I have to ask myself is it more efficient to use AI or AD? As of now the answer is AI, and that makes me sad.
  11. That's great, but I still can't use Designer for my illustrations without the ability to have arrowheads on the ends of paths.
  12. Anyway to do this from the artboard? Like select the object then click the layer I want it to go to?
  13. I hope arrowheads on paths happens soon. I purchased Designer about 6 months ago, and I haven't done anything with it yet. I can't (easily) make my technical drawings that require lines that point at objects.
