Same problem here for the last couple of years. I'm using a Brother DCP-L2530DW in OS X Catalina-there must be a Canon equivalent. I take it there must be some legal wrangle going on over software rights or something.

The workaround (in my case) is to use BrotheriPrint&Scan in my case but it's an awkward fix and disappointing.

A 'vintage' poster made from a public domain image and a some textures scanned from old book endpapers and a back cover. The quote is a genuine reply to a question on the Guardian website some years ago. In amongst all the sensible replies, one Stuart from Bristol posted it. So, all credit to Stuart of Bristol who seems to be untraceable. Maybe he'll see this and make contact for I think he wins the Internet.

I'm thinking of ways that I can use old illustrations of mine and give them new life. I have all my acrylics artwork scanned and archived. A2 Poster: Coffeebot. Approved by the US Fed. Bureau of Caffeine Control and HM Ministry of Beverages. 
 

I've never used this "NeoFinder" so I would not know how to use it.
The only thing I wish I could do with the metadata was add keywords that would be recognized by the stock sites I upload to.

This hasn't been ignored. The dev team is well aware of this issue however they have been extremely busy with all changes required to ensure compatibility with the upcoming Affinity Publisher and with the Publisher's development itself. As soon as Publisher is released, eventual/initial issues resolved and the app stabilised we should get back to our usual pace and focus on fixing bugs like these which are not easy and require some effort and time to get right. Please bear with us.
 

A few bad apples don't necessarily ruin the whole basket. Besides, Rome wasn't built in a day, and that's why it's so beautiful. Good progress takes time.

Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever. Yes, I read those myself. Really excellent books. I was also a big fan of Michael Morcock.

I love scooters. Have owned a few in my life. My favorite was my Lambretta Li150, which I tooled around on during the late 60's. I did an illustration of it a few years ago, using the old Serif DrawPlus.

That's perfect Dominik, thank you very much. 

This is as far as I got with this exercise (There's a tutorial on Youtube where a guy uses Photoshop with its artistic filter and who gives links to these fonts I'm using). In the end, I just did several rounds of using median blur, posterise, Brightness/contrast, adding noise and finally cleaning up unnecessary detail with the clone brush. I also deleted the sky and part of the water and replaced it with a gradient.
 
Luckily it wasn't pissing rain when I took the photo.
